Crucial P1 1TB 3D NAND NVMe PCIe Internal SSD, up to 2000MB/s - CT1000P1SSD8

I Own Two Dell Computers and The P1 NVME PCIe drive from Crucial as a Best Buy for the Money. I also use Micron/Crucial for Memory. Their Website offers Great Support and They Guarantee Compatibility. In My Dell G3 Computer I Installed a 500Gb P1 Drive. Installation was Easy. I needed to remove the other drives first Because it Is recommended. That is O.K. Once the NVME is In The Other drives can go back in. I did not need to Update My Bios But If Your Computer is Older You May want to Update Your Bios. That is all Put it in And Clean install from a USB From Microsoft. I Have a Second computer a Dell Alienware m17 and the same Remove other drives Put 1Tb P1 NVME from crucial Then replace other drives. I will tell you My G3 Only has Space for 500Gb and On the Alienware m17 I can Put in 1Tb and that is a big difference the 1Tb Drive is 1687Mbs Read /1697Mbs Write. The 500 Gb drive gets 2000mbs Read and 950Mbs Write. The Larger NVME Is Faster. For Elite Gamers and people using High End Application The P1 may not be for You but if You are shopping on a Budget this is it. You do not need to do anything else with drivers or software from crucial. as far as temperature I and Throttling I do Not Know. Sometimes Computer Components Slow in some ways other not so Bottleneck. Affects overall Performance. I would say the 1TB P1 is High Performance.. I am Happy with the Product.

I got this cheap enough on Prime day but to be honest I find the speed disappointing. It does run hot, and performance increased somewhat following the addition of a heatsink to the drive. I have two of these 1Tb drives in my sons PC storing (part) of his game library. They are okay for this job, but look elsewhere if you are doing anything demanding.

I was expecting much from this drive I usually buy Samsung Evos but early testing show this is equal and better than the older evos. great value drive

Just plug and play in a PCI-Ex16 slot using an adaptor.. Using it as my Steam and Blizzard game drive.

My MBP already had a 256GB SSD which was falling short. There was nothing wrong otherwise with the computer, so I replaced the original SSD with this 1TB one, and now the laptop is much faster and with far more capacity. Ive measured speed improvements of over 2-3x. This is from going from SSD to SSD, not from HDD, so this is pretty impressive.

Blazing fast, easy to install. My 3d Cruciall SSD. Hughly recommend.

The speed isnt great but it costs the same as a much worse sata ssd
