Greater than one weekNot tall so fits under graphics cards. Comes with 7 screws: six to clamp the top to the bottom and an extra to fasten the whole assembly onto the motherboard. This was a great added feature as neither the motherboard nor the M.2 drive ever comes with this elusive, tiny screw.

> 3 dayCrucial has taken their #1 expertise in memory chips and made incredible SSD storage devices. The P5 Plus is the top of the mountain in the Crucial line. The drive is well-made and attractive (for those who care about aesthetics in their system). For my media editing system, I added this as a super-fast scratch/cache disk because you want scratch/cache to be on the fastest storage (and, ideally, by itself on a drive). Its also a bonus that Crucial is a US company with a long history in the memory / solid state storage business. They also make the speedy Ballistix memory.

> 3 dayHo installato su un adattatore della OWC. Il mio mac con firmware 144, dopo il suono di avvio si pianta e non riparte più. A questo punto potrei pure pensare che la M2 della Crucial sia difettosa oppure non compatibile con il mio computer dopo aver letto un post sul forum macrumors.

> 3 dayI opted to buy the PCIE 4,.0 1Tb Crucial P5 over the Samsung PCIE 3.0 970 Evo Plus as it had slightly better performance specs. My old 256Gb SSD was near capacity and was struggling. The P5 gives you access to Acronis cloning software making the cloning process reasonably straight forward. The SSD Write speed improved immediately from 210 Mb/s to 1900 Mb/s and the Read speed from around 1400 Mb/s to 2100 Mb/s. Price wise, the Samsung was ~ $30 cheaper but I felt the performance of the P5 was worth the extra expense. The P5 was delivered promptly and Im very happy with my purchase.
