> 24 hourThese work if you print your tags from NCL. If you use the ones mailed to you it’s too big. I ended up using the self printed luggage tags as you could read them better so this purchase worked. Haven’t gone on carnival so can’t speak to those types. These definitely would be too wide for the royal Caribbean luggage tags

> 24 hourPro: No frills way to protect stateroom ID tag for the crew to deliver luggage on a cruise ship. Con: They dont claim to do much and so they arent as likely to disappoint. Many cruise lines mail your luggage tags or have you print out tags for your luggage so that the crew can take your luggage to the correct stateroom while you are boarding. These plastic tag holders, visible from both sides, are to protect the cruise tags from damage (probably most important if you print the luggage tags). Thats a pretty specific purpose, and they seem designed well-enough to accomplish the job. No instructions included. The only problem I had was deciding which strand of wire to hold while twisting the lock to open and close the wire connector.

> 24 hourThese are great for your luggage when traveling on a cruise ship. They are durable and strong enough to go through airports and keep your ID visible for pick by cruise staff.

> 24 hourIve always used staples on my cruise ship luggage tags but I have seen enough loose tags on the ground that I thought these might be a good idea. They will be impossible to lose.

> 24 hourThese tags are nice and roomy for the tags issued by the cruise lines. Also, the stainless steel loop secures the tag to the luggage. Perfect for large print identification tags as well.

> 24 hourCruise lines dont provide you with luggage tags any more. You need to print them out and attach them to the luggage since you will turn your luggage into the porters at the ship dock curbside the moment you arrive. If you print them at home it is risky to rely on just tape or a stapler to attach them to your luggage. I watched luggage being tossed around by porters and I can see a paper tag easily tearing off the handle of your suitcase. I purchased these wider/larger luggage tags for a recent trip on Royal Caribbean. They are designed for larger cruise tags like those used by NCL or Princess but I purchased these larger (wider) holders since they can be used on most cruise lines. Are they slightly wider than necessary for Royal Caribbean; but they still work great. The cable has a screw barrel that you simply thread together by turning clockwise. Cable is made of steel. The plastic holder has a steel grommet where the cable threads through the middle - this prevents the plastic tag holder from break off easily and the steel grommet also prevents the cable from abrading the plastic. The holder itself is made of clear plastic and is heavy; so heavy duty in fact that the zip-lock closure used to keep your printed tag is almost too difficult to open. The good news is your tag is not likely to fall out of the plastic holder and the plastic holder is not likely to rip off of your luggage. It is cheap insurance for prevention of lost luggage tags on cruise ships. I highly recommend it.

> 24 hourThese are WONDERFUL for cruising! They fit the cruise line luggage tags perfectly. They are made of sturdy plastic and a heavy duty metal cord to attached to my luggage. Much safer to use than taping or stapling the paper luggage tags to my suitcase. These come highly recommended on cruisecritic.com and have seen many other cruisers use them on previous vacations. Glad I finally have for our next trip!
