There have been times I could not get the Cuisinart Charcoal Water Filters for my coffee pot and thus thought I had found quite a bargain in buying a generic brand. On a whim I decided to compare Cuisinart with the bargain brand. As you can see - the Cuisinart filter cover is more opaque and just felt tighter when pinched. I wondered if it was just my imagination. I decided to throw them on my kitchen scale to see if I was correct. The Cuisinart filter was not only covered with a better material but also weighed a full gram more providing the actual water filtration I was looking for. Quality costs more for a reason. Cuisinart does not skimp. If your going to go through the trouble to use the filter in your coffee maker don’t you want the one that will work as advertised?

Works in my coffee maker just like it should. I rinsed the charcoal filter in a cup of cold water to get rid of loose charcoal. When water ran clear I used it. You get residue from any charcoal filters so that wouldn’t be considered a flaw. Even new machines state to soak charcoal.

Always use Cuisinart brand. Havent tried other cheaper brands but why mess with something that works great.

These filters are used in our Cuisinart coffer make and it takes two filters. One is used for the coffee brewing and one for the hot water heater for tea. Every time we clean the coffee maker with vinegar water we change the filters. It is fast and easy to do. Just remember to mount the filters into the filter holders and soak the filters in cold water under a running tap for 10 seconds and quickly drain it and then insert the new filter mounted in the plastic filter reservoir holder into the coffee pot. The product arrived in two days and it was exactly as described in original Cuisinart boxes. We couldnt find these in the local stores and they are less expensive on Amazon than from Cuisinart and the shipping was free. I rated these at 5 stars. I posted a few photos of the product that I received.

Filters well, reduces scale build up, and easy to replace during routine coffee maker maintenance.

Try them yourself of course, but for me, I get noticeably smoother, better flavor with the filters. I change them monthly to get the best out of my Cuisinart coffeemaker.

Authentic Cuisinart part, so it fits perfectly and performs as intended. Filters need to be changed regularly, so this packaging is very convenient.

Ive owned a number of Cuisinart coffeemakers over the years, and though Ive been largely satisfied with them, one area where Ive always been aggravated is with the difficulty--and cost--of keeping the water filters replaced. Often, Ive struggled even with LOCATING where the specific filters can be purchased, and then, when they turn up, recoiled at the hideous cost of them. Since they are only rated to last 30 days, it became so problematic that I simply dispensed with using them at all. But this package of 12 Cuisinart filters at a very reasonable cost was the solution to that problem, and now one can have ease of supply and also a very reasonable price for them. (Of course, you can always use a separate water filter system, such as a Brita, but then you have yet another item sitting all the time on your kitchen countertop.) These appear to be actual Cuisinart filters, and mine came packaged in a plastic bag, rather than in individual retail boxes, but the item description now shows them in retail packaging. Five stars.
