This is a knockoff and doesnt seem to be quite as sturdy as the original maker of these. Of course, the prices is quite a bit less. However, they work fine and since the horses have quite a bit of lead rope to play out before they hit the end, they rarely ever do so so havent tested how well theyd hold up to a horse pulling back. So for me, they serve the purpose.

This is strong and stainless steel. It works to let a frightened horse get loose if necessary. Good thing to have. Recommended.

I love these ties! We have them in stalls, aisle ways, outside tie posts, even take them to shows to tie to trailer. Keep the horses or goats secure but also super easy to release them if they start freaking out. I will recommend using these 1,000 times over!

These are heavy items that will stand up to the pressure that a horse can put on them. Very handy for around the barn.

We had a horse spook and rip out a ground post it was tied to and take off with it. It was a little crazy, but no injuries thank god. I heard about these allowing the horse to pull the lead line through with enough pull strength, minimizing risk of injury if a horse spooks. Having the snap hook make it easy to move to an eye bolt on a post, or move it to our horse trailer as needed. We just started using it, but we definitely like it.

Level 1

Basic Hold

Double-up the lead rope approximately three feet from the snap end and make a loop. Insert the loop through the large ring, flip the tongue up through the loop and pull it down and lock it in place. now that"s enough to hold most horses

Level 2

Medium Hold

Pick up the tail of the lead rope behind the horse ring and pull down over the tougue. Now we"ve added three or four times of what it takes to pull out through there.

Level 3

Maximum Hold

Pick the end of the lead rope and throw it over the lead shank to get a lot more hold.
