> 3 dayD&D falsely advertises description as Kevlar & Aramid & as proper 43 replacement for 954-05001/754-0500 genuine Troy-Bilt belt. This is NONE of these. Kevlar & Aramid are copyrighted names for the same substance - It cannot have both names. It is one, the other, or none. Original Troy-Bilt belt 954-05001/754-0500 is 43.450 long, NOT 43 long - WRONG SIZE. It is NOT a proper replacement for a genuine Troy-Bilt 954-05001/754-0500 belt. There MAY be circumstances where you might want a shorter belt, but a proper OEM belt replacement? NOPE. Likely why they are breaking. There IS another Troy-Bilt belt that is 43.0 long - D&D is mixing the two up.

> 3 dayIm guessing that the worn brake pad that rides up against the belt and spindle is the culprit. Im replacing that and the spindle. The spindle spins OK when off the mower, but I thought it, being old and worn, might overheat and bind. Its useful to have all these parts on hand so you dont have to wait. And thats a problem here in East Central Florida, where the grass and weeds can be knee high without cutting once a week in the summer. My original belt seemed to have mostly atomized. I didnt have to remove it and had a real struggle getting the new one on. These belts are advertised as being 53 inches long. The OEM belts are supposed to be 53 11/16 inches. I dont know if the supposed length difference makes the belt harder to get on or if the real issue was the cc30 manuals instructions that dont seem to be complete or well ordered.
