Decimator MD-HX HDMI and SDI Cross Converter with Scaling & Frame Rate Conversion

Expensive, but they WORK.

We love it. Had been using Blackmagic HDMI-SDI and SDI-HDMI and SDI Distribution Mini Converters. This one unit does the job of all three, which allows us to have a fleet of these as opposed to a small inventory of each of the three previous devices. Solid build, locking power supply, love it.

Very nice product, better options, easier to use and better price point that many other items out there. Worth it!

I was able to send 480i camera to my 1080p switcher convert to wide screen

Used this to hook HDMI input to a Blackmagic 4K SDI card. Worked great. LOVE this product.

I bought the MD-HX for the sole purpose of using it for flipping my image horizontally for a teleprompter for my video conferences, so this is an overkill in some sense: an expensive solution for a simple problem that I unfortunately couldnt otherwise solve. You would think Microsoft should build such a simple feature in Windows, but they didnt. I tried other software utilities but none worked well. So this looked like the only solution I have. When I first got the MD-HX, I tried to fiddle with the small menu built into the device to effect the horizontal flip, but that didnt work, and the menu was hard to work with. So I emailed Decimator and they responded almost immediately, prompting me to install their USB Control Panel software and send some settings snapshots. I did and the utility worked well and was much easier to work with than the little menu in the device. Once I shared my settings with them they sent back advising me to make a few changes in the setting, and horizontal flipping worked right away! This product has many advanced features and detailed settings that I am not using, but I am sure they come handy for professional video production settings, and I believe they would be well worth the price.

One amazing little gadget. I love all the conversions it does. HDMI to SDI, SDI to HDMI, frame rate conversion - all no problems.

After trying another brand converter with no success, the Decimator filled the bill. My problem was a mismatch between camera signals of two different rates (domestic and foreign standards) which another manufactures site said it could handle... they fibbed... this product worked without any hassle at all! Highly satisfied and would strongly recommend!!

...Anybody who owns one knows how great this product is! Love my Decimators.

I use these for my international webcasting business. We work in the US Asia and Europe and on occasion have had problems getting and sending SDI signals to the local venue. This device gives us the flexibility we need to easily punch in the size and frame rate required at both ends. Easy to use, durable, becoming the standard of the industry.
