Decimator MD-HX HDMI and SDI Cross Converter with Scaling & Frame Rate Conversion

Ive used decimators for a while one, this one I bought for some reason only output through all SDI ports if I reset by unplugging thepower supply and replugging it. something is wrong with this one.

If you have money riding on your show, just get these and be done with it.

Does the SDI and HDMI conversions I need, I have this one to back up my MD-Cross V2, Honestly it does everything I need the MD cross to do for $100 less. I use it to hold the signal to a switcher active so presenters can plug and unplug their laptops without affecting the switcher.

I wish (and i know this isnt the item for it) it had a multi-view. then it would solve all my needs and be the only thing i need in my Oh-Sh*t go bag. I didnt take a star oiff for that since thats a wish list and isnt what this item is for. I just wish it had an option for battery instead of needed a wall slug.

This is the coolest thing ever! Much better build, quality, versatility, and functionality than Blackmagic products. First, the digital display makes it super easy to set up. It’s sturdy, made well, and comes with everything you need...even a mounting bracket! It’s not made in Germany, but you would think it was! The instructions could be worded a bit better but they are very helpful if you have a good understanding of what you’re trying to accomplish. The dual inputs also eliminated the need for a switch box if you happen to have two sources you want to occasionally switch between. The only things I could possibly ask for is the ability to adjust the output IRE to 7.5, and to assign different scaler settings for the two outputs, but that’s not a huge deal for what it already does at this price point.

I am using this Decimator MD-HX to feed an Apple TV Gen 4 into a Blackmagic Design Atem 1 m/e 4K at 1080i/59.94 and it works like a champ. I now have a wireless audio/video feed for speaker/presenters in a live environment that use Apple products. The Apple TV is connected via the HDMI input, then through the built-in scaler, where the signal is converted from 1080p/60 to 1080i/59.94, the HDMI output goes to a small TV for local monitoring, and the SDI output feeds an Atem SDI input. I am also using the unused SDI input to feed the second set of SDI outputs to feed two projectors. This is a very handy device!
