> 3 dayOur Ac unit is built into a closet. We have added this to the closet to soak up the extra humidity and it is doing a good job. Its not too loud unless on high speed. I like the white noise personally though. Helps me sleep.

Greater than one weekI purchased two units, both have the same issue - I feel that the plug gets very hot which seems like it would be a fire and electrical shock hazard and I do not feel comfortable using this appliance in my home
