It took me three tries to figure out what was wrong with my monitor. This was the highest rated and is a surprisingly good pricepoint. The issue is, the cable is awful! Id get horizontal or vertical (cant remember which) flashing. Thought it was a chip but turns out the cable Dell gives you must be junk. I also had the stand arrived damaged but considering this was the third try, I just dealt with it. Love the monitor but pretty furious at the number of times I had to deal with issues. FYI did a ton of research and used this Anker cable to solve my issues: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072JYDQ7N/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The monitor is nice but (a) it is dull (300 nits) which makes it look a bit mushy and (b) it does not have speakers (my fault for not knowing before). I just assumed for over US$700 it would be much better.

Update: the latest firmware (M2B207 - July 2022) corrects the issues I had experienced with the KVM. My one remaining quibble is the KVM only supports two devices, even though the monitor itself can connect three (HDMI + DisplayPort + USB-C) because there are only two upstream connections (USB-B & USB-C) for devices to access the monitors ports. So if you want to share a keyboard and mouse amongst multiple devices, this monitor can handle two but not three. I rate it 4.5 stars with the latest firmware. ---- The P3421W is my first ultrawide and first curved screen, but I bought it specifically for its built-in KVM. The size is a reasonable replacement for dual screens, though it is still noticeably smaller than two 1080ps, as you might expect based on the resolution. The curve looked strange for about a day and after that I stopped noticing it. What drives me crazy is the KVM. I use it to switch between a Mac and a PC. I do not use the PIP/PBP features (it really isnt big enough for that). But its always a gamble whether switching from one input to the other is going to find a signal, particularly if one machine has just woken from sleep. Switching back and forth between inputs can put the monitor into a state where neither its joystick nor its power button produce any response, and the monitor needs to be unplugged to reboot it. Clearly the monitors firmware is buggy (Ive updated to the latest). Unless this is fixed, I cant give it more than an average rating overall.

Great monitor and the built in KVM allows me to switch between my MacBook and my Dell

This is a gorgeous monitor, elegant and professional looking. I can’t stop looking at it. Lol! Set up is a breeze, was able to do it all on my own in 10-15 mins. I connected it to the display port and I was able to use it right away, no set up needed. No dead pixel, no bleeding, no IPS glow. Day1, it felt a little too big though I am coming from three monitors - 17/19/20”. But the next day it feels normal and it has so much real estate that I don’t miss having multiple monitors. I use the comfort view preset mode and it’s really easy on my eyes. I don’t need to use my blue light glasses anymore. Brightness is really good, I had to reduce mine from 75% to 53% cause 75% was too bright for me that I felt I was getting headaches (I have sensitive eyes to light). I use this monitor for work only - mostly emails and spreadsheets and it’s really pleasant to use. Text is sharp enough for what I am using the monitor for. Can’t complain with the pictures either though I do not use this for photo/video editing. It doesn’t have a speaker but I am planning to get the Dell slim soundbar soon. I haven’t tried the KVM/PIP/PBP features because I don’t have the need to do so as of the moment. My only minor complaint is that it’s hard to reach the ports at the back of the monitor. I have mine set up close to the wall and when I tried to use the HDMI/USB-C cable to test them, I had to move the entire monitor to see and reach the back. Also I wish it’s a little more curved, but I didn’t want to spend $300-$500 more for the Dell U3421WE model. So I decided to go with this P3421W monitor. I really want to stay with Dell monitors because of the quality. I have a sit stand desk and a very stable stand is a must so it won’t fall forward or move everytime I adjust my desk. And 3600R is not bad at all. It’s still comfortable to use, I can still see all corners without moving my head which is important to me cause moving my head left to right (even little movements) strains my neck. I love that height is adjustable, it tilts and swivels too. Makes it easier to customize for a more comfortable position. Yes, I’m very happy with my purchase!

The KVM is a flaky with a macbook. If you plan on sharing with a PC and a macbook look elsewhere. Its often hunting for a signal and just giving up. UPDATE: With the new patch from their website the kvm seems to work perfectly now, switching to 5 stars.

Fantastic value and features. However, I replaced my original purchase twice via Dell Warranty Claims (claims process is easy, fast, and replacement parts delivered very quickly). All three monitors have had major issues with flickering on the left side of the panel. Replacement monitors have all been refurbs. Im in the process of submitting another warranty claim for screen flickering. Although this could be a great monitor, I would recommend a different option.

Overall, a great product and experience purchasing this monitor. I really love the design. Super easy to setup multiple laptops to either share screen or swap quickly. Product arrived as expected and quicker then expected.
