Tried to save a few dollars and bought a knock-off power adapter for my Optiplex 7040 Micro. Got the Alert! The AC power adapter wattage and type cannot be determined. The system will adjust the performance to match the power available. on power up. I dont think it actually throttled my CPU speed but I wasnt sure and didnt want to take any chance so I spent an extra $10 for this one and the problem was solved.

Its a wrong part I have Latitude E7440 and at the time of the purchase the systems said work and fit. The charger i receive has slim pin and my laptop use fat pin

This supply worked great right out of the box. No issues with BIOS. Everything runs as it should with this item. Out of 2 other power supplies i tried to save $, they did not work correctly with my optiplex 7050, BIOS reported that the wattage was insufficient or could not be determined. Save yourself the trouble and buy this first, like I should have
