Dell Adapter-USB C to DisplayPort Laptop

The package came in time, and adapter works perfectly. But after a month it stops working without any reason, I suppose item has a manufacturer defect. The seller was very kind and sent me a replacement after a short dialog.

Use with a display port cable to connect monitor to laptop that has a USB-c port.

Could not get full resolution on HP ultra wide QHD through HDMI. This adaptor was the perfect solution for my 2020 Macbook pro.

It works and was 75% cheaper than closest cable alternative when I purchased it.

Tested on Dell Precision 5540 and it works well under Windows. Recognized as DisplayPort Alt Mode device. Connected to a 1920x1200 monitor at 60Hz (also Dell but doesn’t matter). The adapter allowed me to run 2 additional displays on my laptop (one through this adapter and the other via HDMI). No complaints so far !

Im using this adapter to connect my laptop to 34 monitor (3440x1440).

Works with older monitors, but not what I needed.

Im sure it works well, however, it was not obvious to me that this adapter only works with Dell Displays. While my work laptop is Dell, my displays are LG which are incompatible. This may be useful in the office if I need to borrow a display device but otherwise pretty much useless for the time being. Relatively inexpensive for the adapter so not heartbroken over this purchase when it did not work. Donating it to the tech drawer at my office. Chalk it up to experience to read the details and understand the how the product works before making a purchase.

Just what I needed for my Dell XPS 13 9360 to hook to a big desktop monitor with DisplayPort. The Monitor is a Dell model if that matters.
