Greater than one weekI have been in the SW/HW world for more than two decades and nver seen a product coming from a brand name at such a low quality, not properly tested and just thrown over the fence to users to find all the bugs. I am not talking about the HW build, it is fine. but working of it with my laptop which is a model that is supported by this dock, leaves a lot to be desired. at first it didnt recognize my monitors connected to it via TB and HDMI. several calls later to Dell and downloading and installing a bunch of drivers that BTW are not listed on the standard support page for the product and they send you the links, which is mind boggling for a Dell product, it recognized my monitors and I said great, I can work now. with my two monitors, keyboard and mouse connected to the USB ports on the dock, I went to work and forgot about the dock and almost an hour or so later, I am writing a document and everything freezes. This is on a Dell laptop with the latest Intel i9 CPU and gzillons of GB of RAM. scratching my head, I am looking at my keyboard connection, removed it from the dock and connected it to the laptop directly, OK, I can type. did the same with the mouse, I can move the cursor too. my main monitor was still alive while the second one was dead. tried to remove it from the dock and connect it directly to the laptop, it didnt come back to life. WTF. rebooted everything and power cycled the dock, it came back, I thought, OK, it might have been just a coincidence. went back to work. again after a while, it happened again. at this time, I knew the process, removed everything from the dock and plugged them directly into the laptop. power cycled the dock and it was back. I tried it a 3rd time and it was confirmed. so at this time, I am thinking, why did I pay a lot of $$$ for this dock to be Dells QA? Garbage. packed and returned. dont even have time to sit on the phone line and be screened by several people to just get to the right person at Dells support. this is unacceptable and we consumers vote with our wallet!!!

> 3 dayI have purchase two of these WD19 Thunderbolt docking stations. One for home, the other other for work. One works just fine, great even ... but the other docking station never seems to power up properly. Power light flashes twice, fan blows briefly, then shuts down... Pressing and power button on station has no affect... USB connection cable light never turns on. Note, again I have installed all updated drivers, and the 1st docking station works fine, but the 2nd one, never powers up. Note, I have swapped power supplies and that does not fix the problem. Waiting on vendor to contact me for return details... (disappointed)

> 3 dayThe fan thermosensor which controls the fan has failed in less than a week of use. Epic fail on Amazon renewed I was going to replace with another Renewed but then I read the rest of the reviews and it is clear all they are doing is power testing and not load testing.

Greater than one weekDidnt work out of the box. Big and clunky. I bought this on the advice of Dell customer support for my XSP laptop which had been very laggy with the keyboard and mouse. This product did not help at all, I am 100% done with Dell.

Greater than one weekIt sorta does what its supposed to, but its a mixed bag. First, this powers my Dell XPS 13 9300, drives 2 HD monitors (the monitors are connected to the dock via DisplayPort), supplies Ethernet, and provides a number of extra USB ports through one Thunderbolt connection. Thats great and who can complain about one plug that connects everything to the laptop. On the downside, the docks fan is loud. Not flight-deck-of-an-aircraft-carrier loud, but plenty loud. And it doesnt take much to fire that fan up, high speed, with the air blowing out of being not terribly warm. A firmware upgrade has recently caused an erroneous message to appear, every time I boot up the laptop. The message tells me the fan is not functioning correctly, but it clearly is. Dell tells me to disregard the message. And they lecture me on the purpose of the fan. Apparently, its meant to cool the dock; who knew? Since the erroneous error message slows down every boot-up of the laptop, its hard to ignore. The dock also occasionally breaks its wired Intenet access. Sometimes that happens right in the middle of work. Odd, as the laptop continues to indicate it has a connection, I must unplug the Thunderbolt from the laptop, for a few seconds, then plug it back in to restore an Internet connection. Alternatively, I can disconnect and reconnect the docks power. Or its Ethernet cable. On Dells support site theres a thread of more than a year-long with people trying to figure out the solution to that problem. So, as I say, this dock is a mixed bag. Its quite expensive for the problems it seems to have. But, if you want a dock with a loud fan, that intermittently cuts off wired Internet access, and from a manufacturer with lousy customer service, this dock might fit your needs. After all, it does extend my laptops display to two HD monitors. And it powers the laptop and gives me some more USB ports. Update: The fan, the erroneous fan error message, and intermittent dropouts from the Ethernet port have caused me to purchase the CalDIgit USB-C Pro Dock as a replacement. Its fanless and has all the ports I require. It charges the laptop. It does everything the Dell WD19TB was doing, except for the problems.

> 3 dayThis is a renewed product so if it continues to work, it was a good value, but I have only had it plugged in and working for a couple weeks and already the cooling fan is starting to tick and make noise when it is running. To be continued...

> 3 dayI needed a replacement for my docking station so I figured I would take a chance on a refurbished one. It looked brand new when I received it. The dock has worked great since I received it. I would definitely consider purchasing another refurb.

> 3 dayAttempting to drive two external displays with no success. Spent quite a bit of time trying different things and could either get the HDMI or the Display port to work, a single port at a time, never more than one. Gave up and purchased a different dock instead.

> 3 dayI needed a docking station for a used Dell 5400 latitude, I was trying to avoid the dell docking station the price was the deterrent. Well I found one on Amazon that was used, for close to half the price. It was well worth a shot. I got today hooked it up and immediately solved all my issues I had with my much cheaper docking station. Id recommend this to anyone. And btw the laptop was refurbed with Amazon as well.
