> 3 dayLooks like a good option to avoid drilling. The cable isnt terribly short, but any shorter would certainly be unreasonable. It lacked about 2-3 feet to reach from my rear hatch to underneath my drivers seat in my Subaru Outback. Kind of annoying.

Greater than one weekI installed this on the hood of my Wrangler with no issues. The included cable is good quality, and thin enough to snake through the firewall with ease. I paired it with a Midland antenna and GMRS radio, and it actually improved my reception. Could be the location, could be the quality of this product. Who knows, but I’ll take it.

> 3 dayThis mount works great on the hatch of our Town & Country. It’s easy to access vs a roof / roof rack mount!

18-11-2024I’m not a professional, but I have owned a few grease guns in my life. This is by far the best grease gun I have ever used. Great pressure and the fitting seem to work for every thing I need. I use it on my jeep and my boat. No issues

Greater than one weekI was hesitant on drilling a hole in the roof of my Ford Explorer. After much research, I decided that this lip mount, in addition to a Comet antenna would fit the bill. I’m very happy with the build of this mount. It’s very sturdy and the 2 axis adjustments makes fine tuning the angle a breeze to adjust. My only gripe with this mount however is that the 13 foot cable is just about 3 ft short if you need to mount your base station on the opposite side of the vehicle. Other than that, buy this over the cheaper Chinese brand mounts that you find on the big auction sites.

> 3 dayI have used this antenna with my Midland GMRS radio and have been very satisfied. My use is mostly communicating with other vehicles that are within my off-road group. The cable is very small in diameter and I was able to feed it through the firewall and it into the engine bay to connect it with the antenna from the radio. I attached the antenna to my roof rack and when I dont need the antenna I removed the antenna from the base and screwed on the steel cap which is an additional cost.

> 3 dayThe unit came in the plastic bag missing one of the allen mounting screws, but that was OK, as three is plenty to hold the thing secure to my hatchback lip. It has both X and Y axis adjustments to make sure the antenna is vertical, no matter what angle the base is at. Im very happy with this unit.

25-11-2024I bought this on the recommendation of a very popular YouTuber who I follow, TrailRecon. I installed it at the edge of my engine hood on a 2020 Toyota Tacoma and paired this base with the Midland 3dB gain Ghost Antenna and the Midland 15w MicroMobile GMRS Radio. Hands down, the most difficult part of installation was getting the antenna wire through the rubber grommet on the firewall. That step alone took 80% of the installation time. The rest was literally plug-and-play (of course you have to plan where you want the radio to go, but thats something not relevant to this review. Once installed, I was hitting the repeater on the far south end of my city while I was in my driveway, surrounded by houses on the very north end. Super happy with this entire setup!!
