Discovery- Space Projector, White (Discovey 6000076)

Very good

This was a nice present for my 6 year old who is into space and the planets, but the motor that turns the stars was noisy and broke fairly quickly. I fixed it, but it is still too noisy and erratic to use as a night light (as was intended).

So it seems pretty cheaply made. Not a ton of variety since only 3 disks and you cant get more. The star projection side doesnt seem all that impressive either. All that being said my 2 year old is dancing around saying so many stars! Its beautiful! Do more planets! So yeah who cares if its cheap, she certainly doesnt. So I would say great for young kids, get something better quality with more variety for school age kids.

Absolutely cheap crap. Paint was smeared. The lights worked for about ten minutes. It ONLY runs off batteries to better invest in AAAs The planet side is bad too it’s just a small image. Discovery toys are as bad as the discovery channel it seems.

The projector was broken on arrival. Ordered another and it works great. There are only 3 slide discs, show a few galaxy shots, all the planets, sun and moon. Wish there were more discs. Seems such a waste for a projector and only have a few slides. If you read reviews about blurry planets I have to laugh the projector just like a camera gas a focus ring. It can project on floor all the way to ceiling no issues. The stars however dont have a focus so they are indeed blurry from a foot away. The stars have brighter stars that are constellations just sad they are blurry. I cant find a focus for the stars. But it works well the stars auto shut off about 15 min later so works great for night light.

Arrived in a hydro flask box. Stains were on the product showing signs of previous use. The screw covering the battery port shows wear from previous use. Not thrilled to receive something that was used. Was expecting in new condition.
