Greater than one weekI have used this several times and really like it. When trying to strip the protective coating off UF wire, it can be a pain. You can’t inadvertently nick the insulation on the wire or you run the risk of messing everything up. It seems stupid but after you have hundreds of feet of wire buried, thes ends become so much more critical - maybe it is just me but i feel like if i screw up i am going to have redo the wire in the trench...now i know in my logical mind this isn’t the case. Typically, i will use a razor or my everyday carry knife. While these both work the knifed tool excels thanks to the ergonomics of the handle, the compact blade in sort of a bird’s beak configuration, and of course the sharpness of the blade. I feel like i have a lot of control of the knife. So is this a must buy like a pair of wire strippers? Of course not, but if you install a good deal of direct burial wire and are frustrated with the time consuming process of stripping the coating it is worth a chance.

> 3 dayThese are great! I put them in my bag and use them whenever I can. The boot keeps the insulation from getting damaged. The knife can be pushed or pulled. Pricey but worth it if you do a lot of work with any type of non metallic cable.
