> 3 dayI purchased this item from Home Electronics. It was not what was pictured. I received merely a bag of white dolphin clips. When I contacted the seller, he said that he sold me the 2nd picture not the first. HUH? I see one picture that includes the clips and the crimper. Seller better check what he is selling before selling it. I would have paid much less for the clips alone, which is where the listing should have been listed. I would not deal with this seller again. As to the clips themselves, they are white and say Dolphin on them, DC-100-P and do not appear to be a fake or import as other reviewers indicated.

> 3 dayI have been in the low voltage industry now for over 14 years and these have always been my go to connectors. Very simplistic, easy to crimp, and low profile makes these perfect for cable terminations. Tip: I take advantage of the Non-Crimp end to use my multi-meter prongs to meter the cables instead of having to cut them off.

> 3 dayI followed the instructions I found online (since none came with the product) and couldnt get any of them to work consistently. I could get them to work at first, but tug on either wire and it would come loose. In a permanent install, I ended up chucking them because I couldnt trust that they would work. It may be user error, Ill admit, but it looked like it was going to be so easy to use.

> 3 dayButterbeans are what we used to call them when I was a tech. These are not water resistant like the blue ones so dont use them in damp locations. These are imported unfortunately, but I couldnt find any made in the USA when I needed them. They work fine but dont do what the youngsters do and strip the insulation before you crimp them. By the way, if you do not have the proper crimping tool, use the serrated portion of your diagonal pliers just behind the cutting head inside the handles to press them-this will insure a firm bond. The crimping pliers sold with this item are not suitable for crimping these connectors. The only down side to this product other than being imported is it cost nearly as much to ship as to buy them. Source them from the USA and make them a Prime item and they will be a 5 star item.
