> 24 hourItem: DOFOWOT Travel Umbrella Windproof 12 Ribs UPF 50+ UV Protection, Folding Umbrella Price (at time of review *): $16.66 (* Note that I receive some items at discounted or zero cost through Amazon Vine participation. The price indicated is the purchase price, with or without discounts, as advertised on the product page at the time this review is posted) Pros: Very pleased with the size and utility of this travel umbrella. I was looking for an umbrella to keep in my car in case of unexpected showers and assumed I would likely need to compromise on quality for size, but not to the extent I expected with this product. It comes with an outer sleeve that you slide off, following which you detach a velcro strap to unleash the umbrella for opening (you can do this in your vehicle while staying dry). There is a button on the handle that you press (step out for this), upon which the umbrella opens quickly to full size. It is quite secure at this point, and of adequate size to cover one person effectively (two would be a stretch, though perhaps would keep their heads dry for a short distance). Once youre back under cover, you press the button again which allows for the top to be pressed into the base (requires a little pressure, but is not difficult), after which you re-affix the strap with the velcro and if you choose to, slide the sleeve back over the top. Effective, compact, generally well made product, overall. Cons: The handle is on the smallish side, particularly for an adult male hand. Once you close the umbrella, the velcro strap is on the lower end of the folded portion and simply wrapping it around results in some bulkiness at the top which interferes with putting the sleeve back on. You need to wrap the strap around at an angle to compress the top effectively enough, and getting it back into the sleeve is still a bit of a process. If the sleeve were a bit wider with the ability to cinch the bottom once the umbrella is covered again, it would be much easier to put away. Ratings (1-10 scale; 0 = Very poor, 5 = Average, 10 = Exceptional) Quality: 8 Value (based on purchase price of $16.66): 7.5 Utility: 7 Overall: 7.5 Hopefully you found this review helpful in identifying the best product to meet your needs.

> 24 hourThis umbrella seems very well made in all aspects. - The material is that covers the umbrella is smooth and allows water to shed effortlessly. The underside is a different color and also appears to be coated nylon. - The auto-open and auto-close feature operate well. Press the auto-open and the umbrella springs into life. This is a great feature for getting out of a car; just crack the door slightly, and with one press of the magic button you can get out relatively dry. When it’s time to get back into your car, the auto-close feature releases the tension on the spines. This allows the canopy to close which making it easier to get the umbrella back into the vehicle. These again are great features for any umbrella. - The handle feels a little rubbery, which in theory should provide for a little better grip. - The size of the umbrella is perfect for 1 person. - It comes with a storage sleeve. But getting this umbrella back into the sleeve is a little challenging due to the snug fit. My only complaint is that with retracting the umbrella all the way to its most compact size. Because the auto-open feature is spring driven, it takes a bit of force to compress the umbrella all the way. So I would not recommend this umbrella for the elderly or anyone that might have upper extremity issues (hands, arm, shoulders). Other than that, this is very fine umbrella as a practical gift for yourself or another.

> 24 hourI was very very surprised by the sheer size of the umbrellas canopy when opened. It seems small enough as far as the compact size, and usually compact umbrellas offer a much smaller canopy, but WOW. This canopy is actually bigger than the full size umbrella that I also have. So this is worth it.

> 24 hourI like that this opens and closes with just a push of a button. It seems well made and is sturdy. However, it does take a bit of effort to push the umbrella down into the handle.

> 24 hourThis is well made! I love umbrellas that can open and close automatically. And the plus with this umbrella is that it has 12 spokes! 12! Making it windproof and not prone to break as easily. I do wish it was a bit larger in diameter. But it’s great for daily use in rain.

> 24 hourThis umbrella is compact, so it is good to carry around without being cumbersome. The size is just right for one person to cover you completely. There are many ribs in the umbrella that give it good stability. It has a flex to it, so in high winds, it wont tear apart. It easily flips back into the right form if the wind does grab it and flips the umbrella back. The deploy button is easily depressed and there is good spring tension to self-open the umbrella. Plus the color is really nice. I like this umbrella.

> 24 hourSo everyone talks about how only tourists use umbrellas in the Pacific Northwest. I grew in Portland, lived in Seattle for decades, and Im tired of hearing this. I dont want a hoodie thats going to get wet and let the cold seep onto my head, I want an umbrella thats going to keep the onslaught away from me. This this is that umbrella! It feels incredibly sturdy in your hand, can stand up against some pretty hellish winds and my favorite, it closes with a touch of the button! Its fairly bulky when closed, so its not going to slide into a pocket easily. I should also note that because of the sturdiness of this, its a bit heavier than most umbrellas. Honestly though, thats not a deal breaker for me as I love this product!
