We have outlets near my ceilings that I use for cameras and access points. This is an easy way to mount Google WiFi devices. It stuck out from the wall a little further than I imagined.

Does not work well at all with outlets which only have a single screw (in the middle) holding the outlet cover in place. After completely tightening the outlet cover, the holder is easily removed from behind the cover. A simple bump by a leg would dislodge this.

Owning a Custom AV Integration company of 22 years and being extremely OCD with details, I am always looking for accessories to keep my integrations as clean as possible. When Google moved to Mesh technology I HATED the idea of these little white WAPs sitting on floors, tables and just about anywhere with their cables strewn about. ARRRGGggggHhh! Now enter this little novel idea, a wall mount for these ugly little “pucks”! COOL! Last week I purchased a pair and installed one in my personal home; and another for a well-to-do client! She hated the puck wadded up in the corner of her new home’s Hearth Room… and so did I. The install was very straight forward and will require a single Standard screwdriver, and depending on how OCD you are can take less than 5 minutes. In my Pic, you can see I hid the excess power cord to the Google Fiber Jack inside the wall box under the removable port access cover of the Fiber Wall Jack. Also, Google loves to provide an extra long 6’ - 9’ CAT 6 cable which is usually way too long for the application. So I removed their extra long flat CAT6 cable and replaced with a simple 1’ CAT6 jumper cable. This way I was able to minimize the footprint of the Google mess of cables! As a finishing touch, I covered the 6” or so of exposed cables with black Split Cable Loom. available at Home Depot or Harbor Freight. Ideally, white loom would’ve been excellent but I was out of it at the time. DURABILITY: It’s plastic, yo. So if you have kids running around into walls or dogs that are chewers, then yes it will probably fail. If you have loose power wall receptacles, then yes, it will probably not stay securely in place. If you don’t have these potential issues, well then it should work splendidly! I give this little miracle an A+!

Great, simple product that solves a classic technology problem – cord management. These caddies are a GAME CHANGER if youve struggled to find somewhere to set your Google WiFi points. We had one on the desk in our office and another just sitting at the end of our hallway, on the ground, very sadly. Hanging the point from an outlet meant we could move it off the desk in the office (yay, more desk space!). Hanging the point in the hallway meant its cord wasnt collecting dust bunnies on the ground anymore. Really happy with the purchase!

They will not hold due to the weight.

Clever design shifts support of the weight of Google wifi to your outlet cover plate. Unlike other designs the plug isnt used to hold any weight. The Google WiFi is heavy enough you do not want the plug to support weight since it will fall out over time. This outlet design solves that problem. You should note this design depends on the cover plate to be ridged. I had one cover plate that was vinyl and could not support the holder tight enough. But an outlet cover is an easy and inexpensive replacement if needed. Since the Google Wifi plug isnt used by the outlet holder your outlet can easily use both plugs of outlets. Other holder designs may interfere with the second plug. This holder is a great simple but solid design. I never need to worry about this failing and having the Google WiFi unplugged. Highly recommended.

Wish I found this product earlier. I’ve been using the other type where all the weight sits on the prongs, loosening the outlet over time. With this mount, weight sits on the outlet face. Love it!

Great option to tidy up your wifi hub. I installed it from the side (rather than from the top or bottom of the outlet). Very nice indeed.

First, I liked the simple instructions provided. Second, I like that the item matched the description on Amazon. Third, I like that it really worked. Great product at a reasonable price. *** UPDATE *** I installed one of these in a hallway. First I used I heavy duty plastic outlet plate. The mount stayed up for maybe 1 - 2 weeks. Then it kept slipping out from under the outlet cover every few days. I got a heavy duty metal outlet cover. I expected this would resolve the issue. Unfortunately, the Genie Pro mount still kept slipping out of the more durable heavy duty metal outlet plate and eventually breaking. I cant recommend these plastic mounts. They are not strong enough to support the Google WiFi Points. *** UPDATE ***
