Acne body wash usually has somewhat harsh scent undertones. This definitely does not, and has a light pleasant scent. It lathers up easily and doesnt leave any unpleasant residue. As for the anti acne qualities, since it has salicylic acid, I would imagine the effects will be positive. As a side note, and a positive one, the pump is very high quality. One pump emits a fair amount of body wash. It is a bit on the pricey side, but seems to be of good quality all around.

We have a house full of HS and college age kids and go through this wash like crazy. I already use the Dove product line for both hair care and skin care, and this cleanser is a good addition to all our showers. It doesnt bleach out our clothes or towels and it works well. It is scented like their shampoo line. The kids use it when they get off of work or after sports- otherwise on normal days, they alternate and use a non-treated wash- to prevent skin from getting too dry. Its a good wash to have in the collection.

Dries skin out so follow up with moisturizer but this stuff works I use it day and night

Thick clear gel like shower body wash, that has a nice light scent. It’s very relaxing in the shower but it’s not as moisturizing as I would have hoped for. I love it very much and it’s going to last me a long time. I would still recommend this set. I have sensitive skin and it doesn’t irritate me at all.

This Dove Body Love Body Cleanser For Acne-Prone Skin is amazing. I have twin 16 year olds (a boy and girl), and they are both suffering from breakouts across their back and chest. I have taken them to the dermatologist, but besides harsh topical medication, there was really nothing that was helpful. Having this Dove Body Cleanser in the shower has relieved them both so much. The formula helps tamp down the redness, and the salicylic acid keeps the breakouts at bay. It is a refreshing, minty scent that they both like. It does not dry out their skin at all. I am praying that this is just a stage and that once their hormones settle they will outgrow this stubborn acne, but until then, products like this are so helpful. I am not ready to commit to letting them take oral medication for their breakouts just yet. So if your teenager is suffering from mild body acne like mine are, then I highly recommend giving this formula a try.

For years I have used DOVE as my body wash so of course when a new product is introduced I’m definitely going to try it. I like that this helps clear body acne with SALICYLIC ACID. Caution: Select that you want to SHIP THIS ITEM SEPARATELY, as if you group this with other items (which I did to get the digital credit), the warehouse folks may unwrap the 4-pack box, as they did with my initial shipment, resulting in big mess of spilled soap all over the inside of your box, the outer edge of your shipping box, and having a puddle of soap in your shipping room. Recommendation: When buying, select that you want to have this item ship separately, as there wont be any spilled soap and all the packaging is paper cardboard that protects you from the bottles opening. I love that the default packaging from Dove for the 4-pack is unbleached cardboard that is SUPER easy for recycling and highly effective for keeping the bottles from opening.

This Dove body wash for acne-prone skin has a weird scent that is unpleasant. Unlike the other Dove products, the cleanser is a clear liquid gel. So far, I havent noticed any changes in my skin, but it feels nice and smooth after washing.

First of all, I just love the scent of Dove Body Love Acne Clear Body Cleanser. Its a very refreshing, cool scent. You dont need much and lathers well. Even with the added salicylic acid, I like how it leaves my skin clean yet moisturized, not the squeaky, dry feeling. Time will tell how effective it would be for my back acne but so far I didnt notice any new ones and my skin felt softer after shower. Im looking forward to having a clearer skin.
