First of all, this antiperspirant and deodorant works. It goes on easily and works all day. The scent is pleasant and mild, not overwhelming. If you use a clinical deodorant (or think maybe you should) this is a good choice.

The dove deodorant is great but I ordered the 72 hour not the 24 hour. It’s happened to me twice.

This is a powerful stick of protection - DOVE MEN + CARE Clinical Protection Antiperspirant. It has a pleasant cool fresh scent - linen. It gives a mega-solid level of sweat protection, touted “prescription strength”, and is meant to last 24 hours for both sweat and odor. It also has moisturizers, so gentle on the skin. This is ideal for those who play hard and work hard, and for tough outdoor summers. The only small drawback is application. It has a screw-top applicator that dispenses through a sieve. There’s a learning curve to how much to turn the dial. And also, it’s per arm, so not a quick one-two swipe and out of there. Pricey, at over 4 to 5 times the cost per ounce to other brands (at time of review), it still offers quality and value for the need.

I have been using a womens clinical strength deodorant for years and have always had a great experience with it. When I recently ran out, I began to try out a bunch of new deodorants just to see how the new products on the market are. All worked somewhat well but still werent as strong as the clinical strength one I loved though. Then, I saw this (an that it was a clinical strength one) and figured Id give it a try even though it is a mens deodorant. The scent truly is just a clean smell with a touch of masculine musk or something. I dont mind the smell for myself though because it isnt a very powerful smell and doesnt compete with my perfume. The deodorant is easy to roll up, has a good consistency and is easy to apply. Additionally, it didnt leave white residue on my clothes. All in all, a good deodorant for men and women.

This product includes aluminum zirconium tetrachlorohydrex. Aluminum can be quite effective in reducing perspiration as well as associated odor. It has not been that long since including aluminum was featured in advertising as a primary selling point. That has changed. There are concerns about aluminum accumulating through dermal (skin-based) applications. My approach, in case it helps in your evaluation, is to reduce such exposures where possible. Thus I have been using non-alcohol alternatives during the past year. At first, the alternatives were much less effective, but after about a month of my bodys adjusting, the alternatives work pretty well. That said, there are some occasions where I might want to take extra precautions. This is the space where Im now using this product. Its quite effective and reliable in my experience--but I feel I dont require that level in all situations. I expect Im not the only person whos working their way through the evolving science relating to personal care products in an individual way. All this said, this product works well. You might wish to use it all the time; you might use it on occasion. Dial has done a good job, created a good product, and its fit for purpose.

It really showed up with no cap… thought it might have come off in the box but nope. Kind of useless now if it dries out.
