> 24 hourI have a 2010 Softail Fat Boy and I needed something to carry a few items for my commute. This bag fits great on the bike and looks like it belongs there. The cost was very reasonable and it actually holds more than you would expect. I am able to pack my lunch with several cans of soda and close it securely. On weekends, my girlfriend can stash her small purse with our wallets and such in the bag when we ride together. The build of the bag is very good and I highly recommend it for someone that needs a little bit of room to carry items for a very reasonable cost.

> 24 hourBag looks great, was easy to install. Craftsmanship seems top notch, and it came with protective strips for the pain on the swing arm. Fits really well on the 2020 Softail. Ill update as time goes on to how well it holds up. So far so good. Made in America which makes it even better.

> 24 hourGreat little bag. A lot of people in the reviews said they went with zip ties because they couldnt get the provided leather straps to work out but they worked out great on my 04 Deuce. For what it is it packs some room. Ive got a Cruz Tools HD roll up tool kit, battery tender cigarette plug, ram phone mount, zip ties, battery tender jumper cables, and a shop rag all in the bag. Yes it completely full, no room left. But as I said for what it is its great. Seems to be a really good quality bag. If time tells otherwise Ill be sure to check back in but as of right now Im real happy with it.

> 24 hourThe product page says this is incompatible with my 2021 Fat Bob 114, but I was able to attach to my swing arm with no issues. Overall it is an okay swing arm bag. If you compare it to the price of a similar HD made bags price it is worth the money. I like it enough to keep it. However the main factor behind that is another swing arm bag I wanted was out of stock. I was going to buy this one and the Hoodrat swing arm bag from Kuryakyn; Compare the two and return the one I liked less. There is some slack if you use the supplied synthetic leather straps to attach the bag. It is one of those situations where when you pull the strap through the buckle as tight as you can; The prong will line up between 2 holes and you cant quite make it to the tightest setting. I know others have been using 14 zip-ties and have had great success, which I may end up doing. Not primarily for a more snug mount but more to cut down on the clutter the straps create in side the bag its self. Once mounted the straps & buckles cause a decent amount of loss of storage capacity for such a small bag. Even with trimming the excess off the straps there is still a bit too much bulk for a bag with such low storage capacity. There are two main issues I have with this bag and both of them have to do with this hard plastic mold that lines the interior of this bag. The first is that plastic mold covers the two narrow sides (front end and rear end of the bike, but not the front side of the bag (clutch side of the bike). The back side of the bag (side near the swing arm) is entirely plastic mold with a plastic film on the exterior, not synthetic leather. The second issue is that the mold does not fully seat in the deepest corner. So there is a decent size gap between the plastic mold and the interior of the bag and this cuts out a good few square inches of storage capacity. This also creates a hassle when running your straps, as when you feed the strap it wants to go under the plastic molding. Takes some finesse to properly route in a space that you are working blind due to your hand obstructing your vision. After reading if you feel your main concern is that the product page shows it as incompatible with your soft tail; I say dont worry about that. I am willing to bet this will mount on any soft tail with a clutch side swing arm.

> 24 hourThis is a great bag for the price. If you’re looking for saddle bag capacity, order saddle bags. If you need a place for a few smaller items, this is great. I have my emergency tools in here and there’s plenty of room.

> 24 hourI Installed the bag on my 2015 H-D Fat Boy. I didnt expect the 3 slot sets for the straps to line up exactly with my swing arm, the top (2) slot sets were pretty good, I should have used my Dremel Tool to make a new slot closer to the middle of the bag to line up with the lower bar of the swing arm. Pros are: The bag is a nice size to hold several items. It fit the bike fine, still room for my throw over leather saddle bags & doesnt effect the passenger foot peg. The stiff plastic back works fine as support. I used the self adhesive plastic film that came with the bag on the swing arms. I could have used the (3) straps, but went with what others have recommended, use heavy duty zip strips, it secured the bag tighter & made up for the slight misalignment of the slot sets. Even though it is not leather, the strong synthetic material is sturdy enough & looks good (see the attached photos). The quick release buckle straps are nice & a good idea. Cons are: The thick plastic back has sharp edges all the way around & on the backside of the (3) slot sets. The reason for 4 stars is because they manufactured the bag with rounded edges on the interior part of the (3) slot sets. So I ended up using the Dremel tool to round all the edges, then even went one step further & secured a sheet of vinyl cloth to the entire back with contact cement & then cut slits where the prefab slots are. This was like having an additional benefit to aid the self adhesive plastic film cushion the bags back to the swing arm preventing any possible rubbing of the paint. I am pretty satisfied with this Dowco Willie & Max swing arm bag & look forward to many years of use. Round the edges Dowco of your future bags & you definitely will earn 5 stars! Good job!

> 24 hourThis is a well built and great quality bag. My problem is it is so small that I could not even put my cordless drill in it. I even removed the battery and it would not fit. It is very well made, I just thought the dimensions which are accurate would allow it to carry more, if your just looking to carry gloves and a set of glasses it is perfect if you want to carry anything, like a cordless drill just wont happen. I found myself calling it a bike purse and now I removed it and went back to bungee cords and strapping things to the sissy bar. But again I must say, high quality and easy to install, just not going to use as a saddle bag. My mistake not the manufacturers.

> 24 hourAt a glance this is a good looking bag but it’s all down hill from there. Back side of the bag is a piece of hard plastic. Good for keeping the bag sturdy but not good for your paint. Not sure why they didn’t just put a plastic insert in the lining. The sides and bottom of the bag are sewn to the plastic backing and they don’t line up very well, it looks very shoddy. I do like the quick release buckles hidden behind the traditional metal buckles. Bag is smaller than I expected but it does fit well with the swing arm of my bike (2022 Harley Heritage Classic). The bag comes with 3 faux leather mounting straps that are stupid long. Aside from being way ridiculously long, the straps have metal buckles and the pin holes don’t go far enough down to get a tight fit on the swing arm. Straps and buckles take up a lot of space in this small bag. For the price, this bag should be made of leather, not have a slab of plastic for a back, and have some better craftsmanship. I do not recommend it. Only reason I gave it more than one star is because, in spite of everything, the bag does look pretty cool on my bike.

The King of Pain
> 24 hourThe pleather is strong, the pseudo grain looks realistic, the color contrasts a flat black bike quite well, the buckles are sturdy and the cinching straps are strong. Overall the construction quality is good though they could have really improved on the visuals by taking a more creative note with the stitching. Perhaps provide a larger thread size and offer different color stitching to match seat stitching. Ive installed it on the swingarm opposite side from the exhaust on a 2008 C50T. I run with a luggage rack on the rear fender instead of the passenger seat and sissy bar so taking off the rear passenger pegs to accommodate the install was no big issue BUT was required in order to ensure the best positioning for the bag. Overall this bag looks nice and fits relatively well but sheesh man, the thing is very expensive and doesnt hold much of anything. I basically throw in my tool kit and a reg document holder and theres just not much room beyond that. Did I mention this thing looks good? Yeah, it does look good but take it from me, a rider with a completely reattached quad and having every ligament replaced and carrying a dizzy amount of hardware in my leg... the quick release buckles being so low to the ground make this a very bad purchase for me. Due to an inability to kneel on the bad knee, I find it near impossible to use the bag regularly. Just too hard to kick my leg out straight (lack of a high angle bend) and balance on the other leg while trying to open the bag. So, if you buy it for the looks AND you dont intend to use the storage space regularly, this bag will be a great purchase. If you intend to use it to carry much more than a couple of items and get to those items regularly, I recommend you buy this only if you are still in your 30s or younger and havent accumulated so many knee issues that the height of the quick release buckles becomes a liability. The unexpected disappointment was its inability to hold my optimus green bottle (34 oz) without either leaning it or having the top push up on the bag flap. Prior to purchase I did compare the bag stated dimensions with what I measured my bottle to be but didnt account for the slope of the bag bottom so even though the edge of the bag is high enough to fit, the cap isnt at the edge (go figure) its almost 2 inches from the edge where the slope reduces the height significantly. If I hadnt already superglued in some hook and loop straps on the inside of the bag to hold the bottle in place up against the long edge of the compartment, Id have likely sent it back and chosen a different bag. Maybe one with the bottle sleeve on the outside. Overall Ive improved the look of my bike with this bag though I didnt really think the low height of the bag would affect me as much as it has. So, in summary, if you have any sort of mobility issue that keeps you from being able to comfortably operate the quick release buckles you will not have a good time using this bag for every day carry items. If you intend on using a fuel bottle, make sure you subtract about 1.5 inches or so from the height of this bag before comparing to your fuel bottle to ensure your bottle can fit without pushing up the enclosure flap. To be fair, this is really not a huge issue in the case of my bottle in that, the push up on the enclosure flap though noticeable is not a deal breaker.
