> 3 dayI got the 1/4-20 tap and it was very sharp and strong. Just remember when tapping by hand, be sure to use tapping fluid and to back out your tap and clear out the chips as soon as you see or feel the tap itself starting to twist, and repeat until done, dont push the tap any farther than that or you risk it breaking it. I used this tap in 8 holes in 3/8 in thick steel of my 1,000 lb capacity garden wagon frame, and it was still sharp as new.

> 3 dayI liked the concept but both of the taps broke when I first tried to use them. I used the #7 drill bit supplied by the same company too. I used tap magic religiously and tried not to force the tap while breaking the chips... definitely a waste of money. At least the drill bits are holding up since they are suppose to be m42 cobalt steel. Now on the hunt to find a different brand ¼x 20 tap.

> 3 day#8--32 tap worked well. I used as a re-threader in an old junction box so I could use two semi-corroded screw holes

> 3 dayThe price is right but you get what you pay for. It seems like a Chinese tap to me. Broke one after 14 taps. Set up on a Bridgeport, low rpm should not have been a problem.

Greater than one weekI am very impressed with this tap and handle. I could not believe how much easier it was to cut threads using this setup. I had to keep reminding myself to use oil because this tap would cut decent dry even in 1/8 plate.

> 3 dayGood tap. Labeled as HSS. Tapered with two flutes, bright HSS. Cuts fine. No country of origin on tap or package that I can see. Good deal for the price.
