Drill America - POUCSNPT5 5 Piece NPT Pipe Tap Set (1/8, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 and 3/4), Plastic Pouch Case, POU Series

I used the 1 npt tap to clean some very rusty threads in a cast iron well pump. The tap did great and cut well. Tap was undamaged after using.

Great NPT tap set, I taped my water pump inlet 1/2” NPT and the outlet 3/8” NPT for AN fittings, they taped very nicely into the aluminum housing and most importantly no leaks! I would definitely buy them if I needed another set again and recommend to a friend

used this to chase the threads in a water heater. the next day there were spots of rust where I let the water sit too long I suppose. probably should oil these after every wet use.

This set has all the right sizes, they have not failed and I have used all of them except for one size havent had any issues with them havent had any of them break on me so far I am really happy for the value and set

Was a good deal but I am missing one. So definitely not 5 stars on this. Went ahead and bought some from Granger. No reason an order like this they couldnt check before delivery process.

These are very soft, maybe good for some plastics or low grade aluminum but definitely not meant for steel of any kind. One use, didnt cut threads, rather, the material took the teeth off of the tap. Definitely not what you want for a tap. Maybe I selected the non heat treated option? Kidding. Steer clear of this set, not worth buying.

The price of the pipe tap set is great. I have spent the same amount on a single tap at my local hardware store. The quality of the tools is very good. I have used two of them already with excellent results.
