> 3 dayI dont know where all the glowing reviews come from. Mislead by those reviews, I purchased two umbrellas. Now, after very mild use (maybe 10-20 times in total), both broke - the part inside the umbrella where spikes are connecting midway just broke. Additionally, the car fixture is a joke. The rubber bands disappeared right away rendering the whole assembly completely useless. Why not to use just fabric or velcro loop permanently attached?

> 3 dayThe umbrella is amazing. Withstood wind gusts of 30 mph when we were under a tornado watch. I took it out grocery shopping with me and it was so nice to have it attached to the car and just grab and go. Now to just remember to put it back lol. The design is nice and opens smoothly. My 10 year old daughter was able to operate it easily. Installing on the car was a little difficult for me but overall this product is great and I plan to get one for my husbands car.

> 3 dayI like the umbrella and the idea of being able to keep one in my car, and off the floor. Just one thought...I bought several for upcoming birthday and holiday gifts. Each time I picked up one of the umbrellas in their box, the umbrella fell on the floor. The packaging is extremely--I cant stress enough--extremely cheap. Theres one long seam that is not sealed and any of the boxed umbrellas I received, which accounts for the umbrella falling out. I put tape on it, but now it looks even cheaper. ONE umbrella came in a plastic baggy with a ton of tape on it. This is obviously a return and I would have thought they could find another box to put it in. I didnt pay for a second-hand umbrella in an old plastic baggy!!! Nice idea but these folks have a lot to learn.

> 3 dayThis is a thoughtful design for an umbrella. Typically, its always handy when and where you need it. I just got it and found the short video tutorial helpful. Initially Im impressed with the sturdiness of the umbrella and the quality of the meterial including the fabric cover. It fits well, is easy to re-cover.

> 3 dayOver the years, I can’t recount how many umbrellas I have accumulated (which have mostly ended up in a forgotten cranny, or embarrassingly tattered). But I’ve found my solution! Gotta say this really clever invention has given me one less thing to worry about in my life. I’m all about simplifying, and this umbrella is keeping it simple for me. Looking back at my other umbrellas it dawned on me the faults that have been hiding in plain sight - they’re either ginormously big and don’t fit nicely anywhere, or they’re too cheaply made. Here’s what stands out about Umbrella by Drive Auto Products in my opinion: 1. High quality construction with a metal frame, for example the central pole that is not going to bend like plastic or break like an old car antenna. 2. Artistic handle pattern of carbon fiber. Left a great impression of value out of the box. 3. Shoots open by pushing the handle button. I can could see how this be gimmicky, but it actually opens in a very strong motion and does save me the hassle of fidgeting to open. 4. Universal color works for me. It’s one shade lighter than black. (really dark grey) 5. When you yank it backwards for example to simulate wind blowing it out of form, it springs into an “inside out” form. I’m sure this is to prevent the wire frame from breaking or fabric tearing from wind. You then can just push it back into regular shape from inside out. 6. Of course lastly the obvious greatness of this umbrella is the car holster! I have found the perfect location to keep it in my car. It’s behind the backseat center console armrest. Perfectly inconspicuous, clean, and available. It was easy to pull the holder tight and I like that nothing wiggles or makes noise when driving. If you are also tired of misplacing your umbrella and want to buy one that will be with you at all times, I recommend this Umbrella to put things on Auto Pilot. It is well-designed, durable, reliable, and comfortable to use. To bring this review full circle I am trying to brainstorm faults and areas of improvement, and honestly not coming up with much. I would say out of the box it looked slightly confusing being that I like things simple and all. After realizing that I just had to remove 1 of the 2 mountings straps that were not needed for me to mount behind headrest, it was very straightforward.
