Dutch Blitz: Expansion Pack, Use Expansion Pack Alone or With Original Deck to Play With up to 8 Players, 4 New Card Colors, Fast Paced Fun for Everyone, For Ages 8 and Up

I expect the expansion pack, just like the original, was made in USA. It turns out to made in PRC.

I absolutely love playing Dutch blitz! So excited to have the expansion pack. Haven’t played with more than 4 players yet but I can only guess how chaotic and fun it will be with even more players and piles!!

Matches the original deck in size, feel & design. If you were looking for different colors of the symbols (bucket, plow, etc.), they have not changed from the original. The symbols and colors are the same, but in a different combination, so they can be sorted somewhat easily. It really doesnt matter while playing, but different colors (orange, black, pink, etc.) would have made returning the cards to each player faster and easier.

I preface this by saying my family is a huge fan of the Dutch Blitz. When we learned that you can get an expansion pack and play with up to 8, this was a no brainer (as we have had to fight in the past for which 4 get to play). Unfortunately, the idea is better than the execution. All they did to expand the game was to print the same cards with the same colors, but mix up the pictures (same 4 pictures, but matched to a different color). Ideally, they should have either used 4 new colors, or 4 different scenes. It becomes tedious to separate the cards at the end of each game as you now have double colors and double pictures. Regardless, it is still nice to have the option of playing with more than 4 players.

Weve been playing Dutch Blitz for years as one of our staples, but with only 4 people. Only just recently did we realize we could expand to play with 4 MORE PEOPLE! We tried it out and it was great!! Super easy to learn and fun to play. My only comment would be I wish the expansion had different colors. It does make the sorting go a little bit slower. But overall, we love Dutch Blitz!
