> 3 dayThe plastic near the screw on the side opposite filters broke one day while I was vacuuming the ball just fell apart! Our machine is over 5 years old thought I had to buy a new vacuum and started shopping for cheaper alternatives to the Dyson. My husband thought he could fix this if he had to part we did a little research. Bought this part, a $10 torx screwdriver set, and watched a You Tube video and voila saved ourselves hundreds of dollars! Highly recommend for anyone in this situation not too difficult to do if you are even a little mechanically inclined, took my husband about 45 minutes he watched the video and would pause it every few minutes to do the tasks in steps.

> 3 dayFit great on DC41. Make sure you have a T10 & T08 driver before you begin! Reassembly was awkward and challenging but the vac is now fixed.

> 3 dayWhile repairing my Dyson DC41, I noticed that the yoke was also broken. Buying this part saved me from having to spend $470 on a new Dyson! You can not even tell it’s a replacement!

> 3 dayIt looks like genuine and came with a genuine looking label and had the Dyson name molded in the same spot. But the finish is not shiny as the original. There was a slight design change for the spacer on the end with the threaded standoff. The original had a plastic spacer. This replacement had a sold steel piece that was full thickness. Probably a design update, but whatever. Make sure you save and don’t damage or loose any of the old screws. These parts don’t come with them! Pay attention to YouTube videos on how this comes apart and install.
