> 24 hourI have enjoyed all of the Easy Wood tools, but didnt have any of the hollowing tools. I saw how nicely this tool worked in a number of videos. Bought one and sure enough it worked just as nicely as it did for some of my favorite turners. I LOVE this new addition to my tools!

> 24 hourGood hollowing tool. I had trouble with it at first because I was using lower RPM speeds on the lathe and trying to cut too aggressively with it which would result in my hollow form ending up off-center in the chuck. It sucks trying to hollow something that isnt perfectly centered and trying to re-center it. My best results with this tool have been taking lighter cuts at the fastest RPM that I can achieve safely. As soon as I feel the tool vibrate in my hand, I back off from cutting with it. Ive found that I can even hollow past the Maximum Overhang sticker at 4.5 and use the full length of the tool shaft (8.5) with ease. The tool is also good for small and delicate spindle work as well.

> 24 hourMy new favorite tool. Wish I would have gotten this much sooner before the full size and mini finishers. If you use heavy bowl scrapers for final inside work like me, this one hollower is almost all you need. Use the extra money on cutters.

> 24 hourif your shopping for a hollowing tool this is it,,the cutter is small and that is what you want,,i have the simpliticy and it is nowhere in the same class,,,dont be fooled with others product that has a larger cutter,,,i use this tool not only for hollowing but to provide a finish cutl,,lol,,dont like to sand,,,THIS IS THE BEST,,,,update on this review,,i had a hickory bowl I had roughed out about a year ago waiting for it to dry out,,and today which is the 30th I went out to turn it round,,i used the conventional tools to get it round,,,then I finished up with this tool,,it was amazing what finish I got,,,inside and outside,,set your tool rest about an inch from your work and feed the tool across it slow and you can start sanding at 220 grit,,if your sitting on the fence debating if it worth it,,,i can tell you now it is,,,ohhhh and my cutter is old,,,AMAZING TOOL!!!!

> 24 hourI own several Easy Wood Tools and have been very happy with all of them. Just like all the others I have purchased this one is great quality and works well. The fact that the carbide tip stays sharp for a long time and is replaceable when it does get dull really decreases project time - no more sharpening! I also like the fact that they are made in the USA. I would happily recommend this tool to any of my woodturning friends.

> 24 hourI’m a relative newcomer to wood turning, and I’ve found that carbide tools really speed up the learning process. You don’t need a grinder or jigs, and with care, you can get a very fine finish. I do have a a set of traditional high speed steel tools I picked up used, but my Easy Wood Tools tools are my go-to choice for most uses. This particular tool is great for hollowing out vessels like vases that have a relatively large interior and small mouth. I’ll probably end up buying the other EWT hollowing tools as well.
