EATON Wiring RF9501DS Aspire Z-Wave Wireless Single Pole Switch, Desert Sand

When I first started buying these switches they were a much finer quality than the last ones (the ones I am reviewing now). The new switches, although they appear the same on the exterior, the click sound they emit when switching on/off is annoyingly cheap sounding and the feel of the switch when switching on/off also feels cheap. Maybe that is why the original place I was buying the switches stopped carrying them.

I have placed about 8 of these switches so far in my living room and one bedroom. So far they have worked perfectly. The white on grey adds a little style to the room. The only issue I have had is getting the face plates to fit perfectly. The plates fit very snugly over the switch which can make it hard if you are installing multiple switches in the same box. This also means that it looks nicer than other switches that may leave a gap between the switch and the face plate. For reference, WS is White Satin, AW is Alphine White, DS is Desert Sand, SG is Silver Granite.

I put these in our home because I liked the design and the two toned colors. The look great in every room.

I installed a bunch of ASPIRE Z-wave switches to work with Smartthings. This switch did not need a Smartthings switch but I wanted to match the other switches I installed. Easy install, looks good and matches the rest of the ASPIRE switches.

looks great - performs well

The switch itself feels lighter and slightly more compared to some more big name brands however it doesn’t seem to impact quality or function in anyway. This was an easy standard install and goes with a standard one gang switch plate. When turning the light down or “off”, it does make a “loud” sound but seems to be just part of the switch, not any kind of defect or problem.

we love these switches, they are elegant, stylish and not very expensive.

Not much to said here, its a switch. Better looking than the normal decorative switch type. Bought it to match outlet.

One broke on install, the other feels cheap everyday. I want to replace already. My$1 switches felt better but looked worse

These are great switches - I have used 1-2 dozen in more than one house and never had a failure yet. Great value for the price.
