More tools for the garage. I had a stripped mount bolt and nut for my 4Runner steering rack, this solved the problem without having to buy new bolts, nuts etc.

Worked well and held up to the metal I tapped.

Came in quite handy. Put it to use as soon as it came. Looked quality made.

The tap is HSS; however, the die is not HSS and is soft with many attached machining millers on the threads.

I needed this for only one issue. The steering arm on my old riding mower could not be adjusted due to bad threads both female and male. I cut off about 3/8 inch of the steering arm, re-threaded it with the die, and re-threaded the female with the tap and reassembled the arms. By making the arms shorter I was able to adjust the wheels and make them point in the same direction instead of cross eyed. The tap and die worked perfectly for this one need. Since it was single use for me (so far) I dont know real quality or longevity of the tools. Therefore the four instead of five star.

Exactly as described. Excellent quality.

Not as expensive as the others. Great value for the money. May not be a everyday item, but for the odd job that I had it worked to perfection.

HSS tap & die set

Tap worked ok die busted second time using it to chase threads on flywheel bolts.

Needed this tool to recut the threads on the bolts and holes of an engine mount. They were stripped from entering at the wrong angle. Using some cutting fluid made them spin on super easily. Great product that solved a big problem.
