Both the tap and the die clean up the treads nicely. I used the tap to clean up the female threads in cast iron. I used the die to clean up the threads on the bolt.

Needed this tool to recut the threads on the bolts and holes of an engine mount. They were stripped from entering at the wrong angle. Using some cutting fluid made them spin on super easily. Great product that solved a big problem.

Poor quality, not cut well and cheap material is starting to rust even with oil coating

The tap is HSS; however, the die is not HSS and is soft with many attached machining millers on the threads.

Tap worked ok die busted second time using it to chase threads on flywheel bolts.

Did exactly what I needed in fixing the thread on a Honda 3-wheeler axle where the castle nuts are screwed on. Thanks.

More tools for the garage. I had a stripped mount bolt and nut for my 4Runner steering rack, this solved the problem without having to buy new bolts, nuts etc.
