AI has been incredibly responsive about sending replacements. So long as the unit is well ventilated , capped no higher than 100% brightness and cleaned, you shouldnt encounter this issue. Other thoughts - I highly recommend purchasing the diffuser shroud from 3D reefing. It will lower the peak brightness a bit, but it blends the spectrum and lowers the discoball effect.
