The printer is very great. Could be depending on the computer but I noticed I have to wait a little longer to write files to the flash drive or else it won’t be read but I also noticed the flash drive was kind of cheap so I replaced it for a $5 one at target. Other than that, it was plug and play for me. The rubber seal does seem kind of loose. Might glue it so it stays on. But prints are really nice and I’ve had no issues with anything so far. I see reviews of people saying their printer absolutely does not work and then they show a screen saying it’s a flash drive issue. Nothing major. Their support is great! Make sure you visit their Facebook page to get a free FEP screen replacement! I haven’t had to use it yet but I now have extras in case I ever do need to.

Let make a record strait, it DOES NOT go 4 time faster, its more like twice as fast at the most... Wow that is nice. The speed is improve, the exposure time is less but every other thing the same. Than half of it goes 4 time faster, that would be a thru statement... It is faster, it does have a better volume and the same or better result (resolution wise). I taught it would need a better or different resin but my test show no issue with the resine I was using on the Mars original. its so much better and for a bit over $200... If your time is not free like me, get-it. I retire my Mars1 and got a Mars Pro 2... Notice the $100 more doesnt give much more than a better cover color and maybe better printing surface. And one more plus for it, the Vat from the Mars original fit and so is the print surface. The print surface of this machine and the pro version are a little bigger but work from one to the other (with the need to be zero), its a nice plus. It is to notice the vat is made of clear, green tinted material, the Pro and the original are Aluminum. I cant say, if its not as good. Its solid, looks good and give excellent result. As usually, I customize-it; I add a magnetic print surface and add heat. I keep all my resin printer at 40c and have like 100% print success. As you know the magnetic surface is to ease the part separation. It is to notice the printing surface is improve from the Mars1 to the 2 and again to the 2Pro. The one being painted (and peal with the time) the 2 is like machined and the 2Pro sandblast what minimize the reflection and add adhesion (So they say). I go with the Magnetic peelable spring steel, that I cant tell if one is better than the other. The first generation (painted surface) did leave paint on some parts, what is less than desirable, if you dont use skid and print on the table and use the piece unpainted. Instruction and software. The instruction is Ok but at least theres some, right! The UI is different from the first gen the 2 and the 2 pro, specially in the zeroing and setup. It just different icon and little variation on how to do-it but still intuitive, youll figure-it out. The slicing is the same, you just have to pick the right printer that goes to. I keep the original set-up on all the printer and have like zero issue. I may be able to save few seconds here and there but I go for the easy print, no headache. And as the slicer goes, I find it simple and versatile. I dont see much to improve there. If you have the Mars original, this guy is a must-have, if your time is valuable. Its allot more for the buck. Personally I dont like the Green but doesnt affect the safety or performance. Its like an eye-sure in the printer line-up (Ya I got 4 and one Saturn, the big red guy) Ya! Why dont you go create something, its better than reading me ;-) Keep having fun

I only had one minor problem, the seal around the top comes off extremely easily, a couple dabs of CA glue fixes that right up. 8 month update: Down from 5 stars to 4 starts. First and foremost, the LCD just died on my, this is the reason why Im upgrading right now. However, a replacement is really easy to install and only costs $50. I got more life out of the LCD than advertised, its really not a problem. That being said, my biggest gripe about the printer is that its just way too small. An inch would really solve so many of the problems with this printer but then it might not be so damn affordable. If you want an entry level printer, its still wonderful (Ive also heard good things about the Mars 3), but if you want something that will still be good a year after getting into the hobby, Id spend a little more on something a little bigger.

Still learning to work the thing properly, theres a bit of a learning curve thats not as easy to overcome passively like filament printers due to the noxious chemicals and safety procedures involved, but thats resin printing. I want to rate it highly, though, because the company was super helpful. One of the supports broke off and fell into the vat, then the build plate pressed it into the screen, breaking it. Elegoo sent me a new screen and it was fairly easy to install, as have been most of the quality of life modifications Ive made to the machine as I learn more about it. Im at a stage now where Im not sure theres any reason to use any filament that isnt transparent, hopefully I at least have a chance of making stuff like that out.

We purchased this printer to extend our 3D printing capabilities beyond FDM only and have been been extremely happy with the print speed and resolution. We selected Elegoo due to the high quality of all past purchases of their products. This printer met that same high quality, and was very easy to set up and get started. We have used Anycubic and Elegoo resins, with Elegoo Water Wash working the best for us. Their customer support is outstanding. We encounter a problem we could not solve, contacted their support, and received a very fast response and a perfect solution. Flawless. We highly recommend this printer for both the excellent quality and Elegoos customer support.

Arrived this afternoon and it is currently in the process of printing the elegoo sample rook chess piece. So far its making very timely progress. Things that stood out to me. 1. This thing is incredibly well packed, in the best way. Its very easy to pull out all the packing material as they are large foam pads. Its very secure inside the shield as well as around it. absolutely 5 stars for its packaging. 2. Its tiny, again in the best way. Coming from a much more expensive and enormous resin printer I used at work for a while, this thing can print a surprisingly large volume being so small. And it weighs nothing, so it will easily sit on a shelf out of the way if youre in a small room. 3. More a point to the resin but, there is almost no odor whatsoever. Im using the Elegoo ABS-like grey resin and I cant smell a thing. Again, I used to print sleep apnea appliances in a $5000+ machine with $150/bottle resins that were FDA approved etc. and it stank to high heaven. That might also be because I had a few co-workers who were exceptionally uncaring of keeping the printer clean and spilled resin all over it constantly... This thing emits almost no noticeable odor despite not having any ventilation that I can see. 4. The main display is clear and simple to use and the instructions are quite verbose and helpful. So far, everything is looking good. Ill edit this later when I get to printing a few other models of my own. Edit, still completely loving it. It prints with amazing detail. The one thing that I will say though is that there is a bit of a learning curve with using the chitubox software which is the program that allows you to place supports for your model as well as preps it for the printer. Watch lots of videos on support settings and you should be fine, but expect a few misprints in the early stages of printing, especially if youre printing small and complicated models. Edit 2: started having a bit of trouble with the ABS-Like grey bonding to the printing bed on more complicated models. I tried messing with a few settings and discovered that about a 7mm base lift and regular lift distance is better than 5. Shortly after that I switched to their water-washable blue and I am incredibly impressed with it. Better details for sure. I used 30s base cure and 2.7s regular layer cure with the same 7mm lift distances and everything has turned out beautifully. Its also much stronger than I had originally imagined. Youre not going to want to throw your models against the floor very hard, or even drop the more intricate ones, but thats not too difficult to monitor anyway.

Amazing small-scale resin printer. This was my second printer. The first I had purchased directly from the manufacturer. It was an Anycubic Photon Zero. The thing broke and I could not get them to refund my money. This printer worked out of the box, easy to use, print quality is amazing. Best part, if you buy through Amazon, you will have the protection of Amazon’s return policy. Don’t buy from the manufacturer. These Chinese companies will take forever to reply because their offices are in China. They do not provide any phone numbers and ship replacement parts from China. Meaning that replacement pets will take 2 weeks or more to arrive. Order from Amazon, even if it’s a little more expensive. The protection of having Amazon between you and these companies is worth it.
