Being able to disconnect the cable and having a smaller stand makes this much easier to travel & transport. If you have the mark I you dont need this upgrade but if you are buying a Stream Deck for the first time, get this version.

i had the 15 button key pad but it was to many buttons for my needs so i went down to this mini guy and dam im so happy it has everything i need on it

This is one of the best purchases for streaming i have made. The quality of the build is great! the only thing I hope improves over time is the compatibility with other programs through their Elgato software. Beside that, this product is truly an essential for any streamer.

Edit: multi function on one button added, individual source interaction has been added. Now I wish the buttons could be toggles for sources / multiple things. - it will probably get there. These guys update nonstop!

Im constantly finding more uses that I initially purchased it for, kind of regret not buying the larger model because more buttons would be useful. The software is very easy to use and doesnt appear to affect performance when the computer is under load (in game and/or streaming).

Exactly what I was looking for. I paired with Voicemod and I was able to make several pages of sound bites and voice mods. I have it just to annoying the wife and friends while gaming but the software pairs with OBS and several other recording or streaming apps. I would highly recommend for streaming/podcasts

Ive used Streamdeck panel before on other jobs and really love these. However I purchased one and after about two days it completely stopped working. So I replaced it with another unit and that one lasted less than 24 hours. Not sure if this company has a bad batch but not wasting time with another unit.

*Update* They have been adding functionality and improving their software over the past year, and this device has become more useful for non-streaming tasks too!
