Elgato Stream Deck MK.2 – Studio Controller, 15 macro keys, trigger actions in apps and software like OBS, Twitch, ​YouTube and more, works with Mac and PC

Ive used Streamdeck panel before on other jobs and really love these. However I purchased one and after about two days it completely stopped working. So I replaced it with another unit and that one lasted less than 24 hours. Not sure if this company has a bad batch but not wasting time with another unit.

On the whole, this device has been excellent! Yes, even with 32 buttons and loads of nesting/subfolders etc, I could do with more buttons on the board. However: it’s just less than a year old and about a month ago, it started playing up. It started by being slow to respond to button presses. Then failing to respond to button presses, then it would crash every few button presses, then it started to crash spontaneously. A couple of times a day at first, now it does it a couple of times a minute! It blips in and out of connection with ANY USB3 port on my system. My computer is about 16 months old at the time of writing this. It’s an i9 9900K with and Asus board with 2070Super and 64GB of DDR4 3000 RAM. My system is also running 4 other cameras (Logitech Streamcam, Logitech Brio 4K, a 4K GoPro Hero8 Black, and iPhone using EpocCam) as well as an Elgato Wave 3 mic and HD60 S+ USB3 Capture card. The Sabrent USB3 hub is mains powered for 60W and plugged into a 5Gps port. There is no reason that the device should not run smoothly, but as you can see from the pic and clip I posted, there is definitely something sketchy going on and now my card is unusable. I’m waiting on Amazon to get back to me to resolve this, after which, I’ll update; but in the meantime, it seams to be a great product while it works, but I’m far from the only one who has had issues with this model and Elgato have been impossible to reach to resolve, so hopefully your long term experience will be better than mine.

The Stream Deck offers a lot of functionality in a small form factor. The build quality is solid, it feels nice to work with the unit. The buttons are easy to program although they do not always seem to provide basic functionality as described (e.g.: taking a screen shot). This does not work and it is not clear why not.

I use this for switching scenes on OBS and XStripe, it makes training and broadcasting and absolute pleasure !00% recommended

Got a replacement since the top left button bugs out, and I certainly dont want to pay $150 dollars for something thats defective. Well the replacement has the same issue which is kinda garbage since its pricey. At this point its mostly the software that makes up for the board being a little defective. I would suggest waiting for this to go on sale.

Recommended by Overkills Channel on YouTube for use with Microsoft flight simulator 2020. I have set it up with the radios and autopilot controls and it seems to immerse me into the simulator even more.

Según se describe. Instalación muy rápida y sin problemas. Simplemente instalar el software descargado de la web de elgato, pinchar el aparato y a funcionar. Un minuto. Estaba preocupado por cómo llegaría, porque últimamente he tenido malas experiencias con Amazon: compraba nuevo y me enviaban usado. Luego me costaba más devolver con acuse de recibo que lo que Amazon me daba por el envío. Vamos que encima perdía dinero. Esta vez hubo suerte. Para mi gusto el aparato es algo caro para lo que hace, pero la calidad percibida es buena y por el momento funciona muy bien.
