> 3 dayIts wood glue... as Ive learned, if you need super adhesion and durability, use a gorilla glue type thing. This works well for filling holes and gouges in wood for me... as far as adhesion, Ive been a bit disappointed. It gets knocked away pretty easily. Again, that may be handy for certain uses...but I would not recommend this as just for sticking stuff together! Super glue has worked much better for that.

> 3 dayIve been using Elmers Glue products since I was in the 1st grade. They are always perfect for all of the gluing needs that Ive ever. I think back to a time when my alternator bracket on my 73 Pinto broke. We had a machinist welder at my job and I asked him to weld it back together again. He explained to me that the bracket was made of a very low grade steel but he would do his best. He called me and told me the bracket was ready. I asked him if he thought the bracket would break again. He said I cant tell you if that cheap SOB will break again but it wont break THERE again. This wood glue is similar to that in that if you properly prepare your surfaces and apply the glue as directed and use the appropriate clamping tools your parts will not break or come apart in that same place again. The other glues and adhesives that I considered just dont offer the ease and pliability that this one does. Even though this is a very old school product it is still the very best to use for your gluing projects. I highly recommend it.

Greater than one weekI have used Elmers wood glue for the past 25 years, but the current cap is extremely difficult to open ... not the first time, but every subsequent time!! The glue gums up the cap so that it doesnt want to loosen. I much prefer a removable cap vs this one, which just slides up and down. I have plenty of Elmers glue left, but I am purchasing Titebond just to get away from the frustration of the current cap design.

Greater than one weekI actually did a stress test for 3 different types of glue products. Elmers wood glue took longer to set meaning the glue soaked into the wood deeper and produced a stronger bond. I do wood work every week and this is the best glue to use. I would strongly recommend. Plus, its affordable.
