> 3 dayI got this set because I got a Brother to replace my Singer. You cannot imagine how happy I was to figure out the larger hoop was repositionable. I had been unhappy because the brother only has a 4x4 and I wasnt able to do larger embroidery but I have solved that problem with the larger hoop in the set. I havent tried the smaller round hoop yet but I cant wait to try it

Greater than one weekBeen wanting a spare hoop for years but the cost just wasn’t worth it for me. I found this set of three hoops and for the price figured it was worth trying. Oh my, it’s so nice to have an extra hoop to prep a new project while one is stitching out. Good quality for the price, the main difference I noticed was the screw is not quite as good as the original. Have not tried the small or larger hoops yet but I’m assuming they will work as well.

> 3 dayI bought this product thinking that with the large hoop I could just easily reposition the hoop without having to reposition the fabric within the hoop for long, continuous designs like borders. Nope. There is an overlap in the pattern by about an inch, so you have to open up the hoop to reposition your fabric anyways, at which point why even bother with the repositionable hoop?

Greater than one weekSo theres some confusion about the purpose of these hoops, especially among those of us who own machines that can only sew patterns up to 4x4, and I thought it important to give my input on the discussion. No, the larger hoop wont convince your machine it can sew larger patterns. But what it can do, is allow us to hoop a larger area, so we dont have to re-hoop (think monograms, right???) All we need to do is reposition after each section (that gives us at least 3 positions to connect to the machine.) For me, that means my wonderful Brother PE535 will be able to larger patterns, as long as I separate the sections into separate files. No, I dont suggest trying to match stiches, but for separate entities, such as letters, OMG, no more discoveries of initials being off just enough to notice. We already know the smallest hoop works (look at the back of the manual, and its listed as an option.) Come to find out, the smaller we can hoop, the better the result, because theres less to have to immobilize. Hope I helped here. The ad is not misleading. At All. PS - Thank you for offering this at such a great price!!!
