This course is amazing. Im just getting started with bass and have known about it for some time. Features are unbelievable. With perfect accuracy, even tells me when Im off key or off tempo. I can change temp as needed, pause at will, and absolutely go at my own pace. I can repeat the same lessons as needed. Ive had guitar lessons, and being a good musician doesnt make you a good teacher......its a whole different skill set. The instructor kept trying to get me to progress more quickly than my ability allowed. Ive used the old Guitar Method DVD, which is good, but limited in content and features. This course is light years ahead of it. Young or old (Im 72), if you find learning to play a stringed instrument difficult, this course may be your salvation. I cant say enough good things about it......Im not sure Id have tried to learn bass without it. Im getting the Singing Method next.

This is a very effective product for learning how to play. Ive been going thru a few lessons every night and am pleased with my progress. It doesnt feel like work or hard because each lesson slowly builds from the last making it not too frustrating. I was frustrated before I got this and now Im moving along. One really cool feature is the program listens to your playing through a mic and you can tell if you are doing it right because the written music changes color when you get it right.

Old old fashioned software. The mustache guy who presents the classes is from the 70s. I loose interest in the first 5 minutes. May will work for beginners who really cant distinguish between a bass guitar and a shove.

The song choices are mostly all for for a very long ago era.

I love the fact that Im able to take these high quality bass lessons in the comfort of my own home. The software takes you from the very basics to advanced techniques, all with helpful videos and on-screen aids. I think that the emedia Bass Method is what a novice, like me, needs to get a good musical foundation. I have an iMac computer running OSX 10.6, and havent had any issues running the software.

Lessons Frustration Free. I have taken lessons from instructors and I must admit they do their job on picking up your bad habits and correcting but as far as progress this is something you need to learn in your free practice time. This Emedia Bass was a blessing for me as you are able to progress steadily and it all makes sense. They did a hell of a job. Sometimes you get an instructor that is baffled why you dont pick up something because they are good at what they do and we are learning. Especially if you have one that crams 6-8 lessons into his workday. This is what I needed to work on my technique and notes. This is a Must Have for beginners......

Would not work on my 27 imac but did work on my wifes macbook. Tech support was not helpful at all. In fact the response I got was IMHO arrogant and rude. I returned the item more because of the attitude of the support person. They clearly didnt want to help so I sent it back. Not my job to figure out why their app wouldnt launch. From what I saw on my wifes laptop it seems like it could be OK, but not much different than a lot of the free online stuff you can get. Not suer if it;s worth the cost.

ATTENTION MAC USERS - Beginning with macOS 10.15 (Catalina), Apple has eliminated the option to run 32-bit apps on the Mac. If you wish to continue using our applications, which currently require 32-bit support, do not upgrade your operating system past Mac OS 10.14 (Mojave). Alternatively, you can retain an older Mac operating system on a separate drive partition. eMedia developers are currently working on software updates to support Catalina and future versions of macOS, but this is a major undertaking. eMedia is currently unable to foresee how long it will take to create these new versions. If you purchased your eMedia software on or after September 7, 2019, upon receiving proof of purchase eMedia Music will provide you with a free upgrade to a macOS 10.15 (Catalina)-compatible version of an eMedia application when it becomes available. All other registered owners of eMedia software will be qualified for discounted upgrades.
