> 3 dayI used these in the lower part of my Kenmore refrigerator. The incandescents had burned out. They are bright enough. They came in a quality retail six pack and they are dimmable according to the package information. They are a hair bigger than the oem bulbs but fit ok.

> 3 dayOver the past few years Ive managed to replace almost every single incandescent and CFL bulb I had in my home with various LED bulbs, all bought at reasonable prices as costs for LEDs come down. I have a few leftover stragglers that I had to decide on LED bulbs for... and my fridge was one of those should I? things. I wondered if it was cost efficient to spend $11+ dollars to replace my fridge bulbs - would they eventually pay for themselves given how infrequently one leaves the fridge doors opened up and the lights on? Heres a test for you... leave your fridge open for 30 seconds or more like one of your kids would do... then try and touch one of the incandescent bulbs in your fridge... youll end up BURNING your hand. So not only is that fridge using 40 watts x 6 every single time you opened those doors to light it, your fridge/freezer then has to compensate for the extreme heat those bulbs are putting out to cool them down and return your fridge to its proper temperatures. So will the $11 pay for itself? Over the course of the life of the fridge (10-15 years) the answer is almost assuredly YES. But for me the biggest thing I didnt anticipate is how much BRIGHTER and BETTER the inside of my fridge looks now that is lit with DAYLIGHT (5000k) LED bulbs and not the warm 3000k incandescent light. Seriously - there are very few applications I would recommend the 5000K color temperature for (those include garages and work bench areas) but the inside of your fridge (where all the walls are white) is absolutely one spot where this color temperature SHINES. Every new fridge should be using this color temperature (and LEDs) moving forward. I am amazed at how brighter (and new looking) the inside of my fridge is now. If youre on the fence about replacing these final incandescent bulbs in your home, or if one has burned out in your fridge and you need replacements, absolutely do not think twice and DO IT - buy these and replace those very dated little heat machines inside your ice box. Finally - this listing clearly states that these are made of plastic and the description CLEARLY mentions these Cannot be used in ovens, microwave ovens. If these melted and you gave these things a bad review because you cant read, or do not understand basic science, maybe consider giving yourself a one-star review instead?
