This is my first projector for home and I didn’t do my research completely. The audio output would be the missing piece for this projector. There’s an adapter for a sound bar in case you guys are interested on having nice sound come out of the projector. $19 would fix the problem but for the money I pay for the projector, this shouldn’t be an issue customers should face.

I ordered this for movie nights on deployment and it is great. It has astonishing picture and clarity. I do not have issues with sound out as I have an hdmi audio extractor for back up and both my firestick and laptop can connect to speakers via bluetooth. The only issue I had( my fault, not faulty) we are at a really high altitude and one night the projector shut off giving an internal error code then the fan came on and it cooled down. I researched it immediately and found out epson ( the creative folks they are) already knew high altitude poses a cooling issue therefore implemented a high altitude cooling setting. I changed the settings and have not duplicated the fault since It has been amazing so far and Ill update in a month or so. (2 month update) Still going strong, I live in a very dusty desert environment and I keep it clean, and clean and replace filters when needed. It gets used alot and the brightness is good in well lit roomsand very bright in a dark room(eco mode is perfect for close quarters), it has a very sharp image perfect for showing documents, presentations, or slideshows, and great for movie streaming and playing off the laptop. Ive combined this with a firestick and my laptop with a small vizio 20 sound bar, a mini bluetooth keyboard and swipe pad combo from fosman, and an hdmi switch with a built in audio extractor and I can do it all! Surf the web, watch movies, stream YouTube, go over documents for work. It does it all and doesnt complain

This is the newest iteration of this model. This review will not focus on technical aspects but more of a practical point of view. First is clarity. As with any projector, the brightness of the room affects perceived clarity. To remove that variable, I played a movie on my 65inch 1080p TV and projected the same movie on this projector at night with the lights off. The picture quality are comparable. For my usage, this will be used on a fairly bright room ro play video in a meeting setting. I have tested other projectors and this one stands out. With even all the lights on, the pictures are still clear. Of course it gets better if I turn the lights off but I only had to turn off about 1/3rd of the lights on the front of the room where I’m projecting. I guess that’s what 3,400lumens will get you. I didn’t test the other features as picture quality and brightness are my must have. The other features i can live without. Overall very happy with this.

This projector is just amazing. We love it. Keystone is super useful we keep it on the side and project it on the center wall. Colors are vivid and crisp. Totally worth it . Just need to see how long it lasts. Cons - the WiFi card is useless and no use . Just add the hdmi cable and connect to Chrome stick. We use with Verizon FiOs which works great as well.

Instead of a flatscreen, we use this with a screen in our living room. Its our third Epson projector; we previously used a 8700 that was taken out by lightning surge, and a Home Cinema 3010 that developed lines in the picture. We got this as a temp unit while the 3010 was repaired, planning to use this as a portable for business. But weve kept it in the living room; its just as bright, quality is equivalent, and it has a plus not mentioned in the promo: it decodes and displays closed captioning from broadcast sources. The only difference from the 9220 that we can tell is that it doesnt have built-in WiFi; but they include a stick that you can plug in to do that. The lens system is less flexible than the 8700 (which cost $1000 more, but it could be placed almost anywhere relative to the screen), but if you can project on-axis, and dont have too much of a keystone angle to correct for, this is great! A plus is that the replacement bulbs dont cost as much as the old ones did...we havent had to replace it yet, after a year in operation.

I was not disappointed with the resolution and brightness of this projector as thrown to a new 100-inch screen. I got all I had hoped for. It represented a major upgrade from a cheap old ViewSonic 800x600, which my wife and I had been using for several years against a bluish-white, wood-framed living room wall in our rustic Vermont summer cottage. Nobody really needs to spend the extra cash for a 4K projector, and this 1080 HD model will fill the bill.

Does not have wireless capacity in actuality; the 9240 is brighter and has wireless.

Great machine I wish I wouldn’t have bought so many tv’s honestly this is so much cooler. Have not had any issues yet and love the picture and sharpness. I also use this for high quality PP presentations. Glad I got this instead of the cheap knock offs.

The projector works great. Picture looks amazing. The only big downfall is there is no sound output. I recommend getting an HDMI audio extractor if youre getting this, which isnt too bad of a price. Overall not a bad deal on projector for what youre getting.
