> 3 daySaw the good reviews and thought Id try it myself. I have a brand new 2022 Asus Zenbook 14 OLED with a fast internal M.2 PCIe SSD and a USB-A port supporting high-speed USB 3.2 Gen1 I/O running Windows 11 Pro. This Espeon SS+ 500GB Portable SSD Solid State USB Drive comes preformatted using exFat. Heres the issue: Small files copied from my internal HDD to the USB drive do achieve 480 Mbps write speeds. However, large (32Gb) file writes over wifi fail with the error seen in the attd pic. To test a large-file write to the flash drive, I had to copy the same file to my laptops internal HDD first, then to the flash drive. That process errored out the first few times with Windows asking me to scan and repair the drive. It also acted like it disconnected and reconnected when that happened (I didnt change a thing) because a new File Explorer window popped open indicating that Windows 11 believed that I had just inserted the flash drive into my USB port. you can see from my second pic that the write speeds dropped over the course of the file transfer. I noticed the USB storage device felt warm to the touch, so for all I know it was thermally throttling itself and purposefully decreasing the transfer rate. hard to tell without repeating this test in a freezer, which I am not about to do. After all, we have to be realistic and run real-world test scenarios. So, while I love the idea of finally having a portable USB storage device that can achieve incredible speeds, something about this product, plus my laptop, plus Windows 11 is just off. Ill update this review if it turns out that in 6-months everything learns how to play nicer but for now Im rating this 3/5 stars.

> 3 dayIve had all kinds of weird issues from time to time trying various brands of flash drives. Bottom line is that these just refused to work completely on one of my USB 3.0 ports of my brand new PC, and only worked part of the time on another. Windows would throw up an error. (see pics) This drive DID work every time on the USB 2.0 ports & on all the other USB 3.0 ports on the desktop. (I have a lot of USB ports on my PC) It was a very weird issue. I checked the problem ports with other known good flash drives etc. & they were ALL working normally & perfect. So it wasnt my computer or MY ports causing the issues. I can say that on the USB 3.0 ports this decided to work on, it worked really well. Great transfer speeds around 360mbps on average. So it may work fine on many laptops & so forth. Again this was rock solid in all USB 2.0 ports but the speeds were USB 2 speeds at around 36mbps on average. So for just some extra space for a laptop etc. and putting no really important data on them, I could sort of recommend these drives. Sort of. Usually when drives throw up strange issues like this that theres not really any good explanation for, its just not going to be a great drive in the long run. But for the price & space, ehhhh, maybe, for some non critical things

> 3 dayパソコンに何かあったときのために 使用しました。 早速バックアップからと思い始めたら 一分足らずでWindowsのバックアップが 終わりました。 本当は全部をコピーすればいいのでしょうが それは時間のある時に。 でも本当に速いですよ。

> 3 dayThis flash drive is an excellent little device to have for when I want to transport a handful of movies and TV shows in a small package. Rather than take the master copies on the full external drives, I can transfer them quickly to this thumb drive and have a selection of media with minimal storage and no concern of losing the originals or damaging their drive. As others have said, the housing of this drive does feel a little flimsy and I think that it could have been upgraded, but Im happy with the size, speed, portability and function of this USB drive. Greater than one weekIve been using this for a few weeks now, and it works very well. My computers all find and access it easily when I connect it - transfer speeds are fast and efficient. This gets and A for portability too - it fits almost anywhere.

> 3 dayUse this for my photography trips where I back up my photos on my laptop and then onto this while Im out for temporary redundant storage on the chance something happens to my laptop. The USB does perfect and havent found any issues while making transfers and while doing larger transfers >10 gigabytes, havent seen a noticeable dip in write performance. Love it and keep it at the end of my keychain.

> 3 dayThe real advantage of this device is that though it is as small as a typical USB flash drive, the capacity and speed of transfer are markedly greater. This makes it very convenient for transferring large files--photos, videos, system images, etc. Im not enough of a nerd to want to measure actual throughput but in my rough tests I found that copying files was roughly equivalent to the speeds achieved with one of my faster external HDDs and maybe twenty-five percent slower than an onboard NVME SSD. Given its very small profile and light weight, the portability relative to other external SSDs Ive used more than compensates for that slight decrease in speed. It does have a flashing red LED to indicate file transfer activity. Overall, its a solidly constructed, fast and powerful small storage device.

> 3 dayIm replacing all my old frequently-used flash drives with SSD drives. SSD drives have become reasonably priced (for the capacity) and are much faster and much more reliable than flash drives. This brand is made in Taiwan and so far works just as well as the name brand drives. Read and write speeds are extremely fast. We get 500GB of storage in the same size as an old 64GB flash drive. It wasnt so long ago that 64GB flash drives would cost this much, too. Flash drives always seem to develop data errors with regular use (or with just age). I have yet to have a data problem with a SSD drive.
