I will be honest -- I did not order this umbrella for its functionality or compact design. I ordered it because it was a beautiful lavender with black underside. Purely aesthetic and shallow; I know. And the color was everything I hoped it would be. With that said, though, I was actually pleased with the design when received. It opened and closed nicely. It was compact enough but not too small that it isnt fully functional. Aside from the color, I am really pleased with the dark underside. I find myself outdoors at youth sport events often and often need an umbrella for protection from the sun. Sometimes a golf umbrella is just more than I want to carry, so I prefer a smaller umbrella to navigate. This has become my favorite umbrella for sunny days because the dark underside creates some strong shade that lighter colored umbrellas dont offer.

This pink umbrella is a nice color. What I like about it is that it is a perfect size for me. Easy to open and close up. Good quality material made of. It is worth what you paid for. If you like the small size umbrella I would recommend this one to you.
