My 6 month old cat plays with this with such enthusiasm and it’s a hoot to watch her. She especially likes to carry it around, bop it and play with it on the stairs. It will keep her entertained for a half hour. That said, it is not safe, at least for her. She is fierce with her prey. When I play with her with anything on a string, once she gets it she pulls it to take it away, it’s hers, she got it, game over. With this toy, she will hold part down with a paw and stretch the rest of the coil using her teeth to pull. See the photo. The pink she had brought upstairs and I found it broken. The green I supervised to see what could have caused the break and you can see she had started to do the same as the coil is stretched. Honestly, I can’t say the plastic isn’t sturdy, if it had not been aggressively pulled it would have lasted. My cat loves it so I am doing supervised play and end when she starts pulling it. She seems to do that after awhile playing which may be because the fun factor decreases over time. Anyway, supervised it is so fun, but I would not leave a cat alone with it. Perhaps someone can make metal ones, I will be checking in box home stores if they might have safe metal springs.

We have bought our cat all kinds of cat toys, most much more expensive than these springs. For whatever reason he tires of all the other things, but these springs he will chase all over the house for hours on end. The only problem we have with them (which is no fault of the product), is out little buddy likes to hide the springs, or shove them where he can no longer get to them. Otherwise these are a great toy, highly recommended!!

Give one to cat each morning and he bounces off the walls

One of my cats has a thing for twist ties and springy stuff. These are perfect for him. He can carry them in his mouth which he does when playing fetch. They also do not hurt when stepped on in the middle of the night!

I have a smart, super-active cat who loves toys and activity. These got great reviews so I thought Id give them a try. I have thrown several of them on the floor in different places and there is zero interest. And there are so many of them I now have to find other cat owners willing to try them. I wish they had worked for us, but no.

These plastic springs came with a kitten that was brought to me to home. I never saw them before. All 4 of my cats love playing with them! These bigger ones are less likely to go under the closet/cabinet doors or the stove and refrigerator. I find the smaller ones Im constantly having to fish them out from under things for the cats. The springs keep them occupied for hours and its a fairly quiet toy. I love these springs. I always keep a spare bag around.

Both of my cats love these spring toys and these are their favorite toys! They are entertained by the random movement of them spinning, rolling and bouncing. Unlike a ball, the movement isnt as predictable. Planning to buy more of these for the kittys stocking stuffers this Christmas.
