> 3 dayIm a happy camper. This vacuum has the sucking power of my first Eureka (late 1970s) and I love it. It isnt big, the cord isnt long enough, and attachments dont exist but it cleans so very well. On hard floors. This same fantastic sucking power makes it hard to use on wall-to-wall carpet, the picture of area rugs is a clue. If you have shag rugs (really?) lots of carpeted rooms and few hardwood rooms, this isnt your dream vacuum cleaner. Just being able to get the Cheerios off the dining room floor and small pebbles from our entryways makes it a winner for me!

> 3 dayLike that I can replace my old dirt devil. Small compact and super easy to use. I love the canister cleanup its very easy. Only downside of it when you pick it up it loses a bit of suction. Otherwise its 5 stars for me.

> 3 dayMy Eureka canister I got new in 1980 finally died ..so I obviously went to look for another Eureka canister and am so pleased with this one! I like all its features ... bagless, extended/adjustable wand, retractable brush on the main wand, and probably my favorite is the button on the floor unit the extends or retracts the brush inside the sweeper unit --- allowing me to go from carpet to tile quickly and not having to change attachments...I just tap the button in the top of floor unit. Love it!

> 3 dayEven though I have a Hoover upright (Wind Tunnel) for my flat carpeted floors, it needs a bag, its loud, it doesnt have good suction and definitely a hassle on carpeted stairs which I now have with a recent move. This little vacuum is perfect and the price is right also. Adjusts for use on hardwood floors. It is lightweight, maneuvers well, easy to clean and dump the dirt (no bag!!) The assembly is super quick and the suction is awesome. I would recommend for stairs but maybe not the whole carpeted house, just because it has such good suction it makes it slow going but it would be a great workout!

> 3 dayI live in a 1 bedroom apt. and am replacing a 25 year old Hover upright. First off, easy to assemble. Light weight, easy to tow. Plenty of cord to reach about. No bag with a useful detachable way to dump the dust or other stuff vacuumed up. The brush can rotate to reach under furniture is a plus. The handle has 3 suction settings so on the lowest setting it wont try to suck up a throw rug in the bathroom. Extended, the handle brush works fine for cleaning window stills and vacuuming furniture. Lowering the brush extension on the brush works really well on hard floors as well. The tube adjustable connection between the hose and brush allows people of different height fit right in. Over all, A well thought out vacuum.

> 3 dayIve owned and used this sweeper for 2+ years. It works well on hard floors and the removable canister empties like a charm. Excellent sweeper for the price. When I first received this sweeper, the retractable cord feature didnt work. I returned it, they sent me a replacement, and Im so glad: the retractable cord feature is so stinkin satisfying. I dont have to deal with wrapping up the cord when Im finished and its awesome. I havent owned many sweepers in my life, but I am glad I purchased this one. - 25 year–old female

> 3 dayI have only laminate floors with a few wool rugs because of allergies to synthetic carpet fibers. I have a cat, and I could not find a vacuum that would pick up everything off of the floors. My other vacuums would scatter the tiny cat litter pieces and stray fur all around the laminate flooring. Not this one! It picks up everything!! Also, its so light and easy to use. I am short, and I can adjust it to my height perfectly. It even cleans the dust from floorboards and small spaces. The retractable cord is such a great feature. Now I can actually vacuum my entire place and its fully clean! I am THRILLED with this vacuum!

> 3 dayI fought my wife in getting this vacuum. We already have a shark duo which does hardwood and carpet. Plus, we have a large push duster for the fine particles for hardwood floor. We have all hardwood throughout the entire house, dusting on a regular basis is pretty much every weekend job. Weve owned a Kirby, which I really like but they are bulky and heavy and its a pain changing out the attachments no matter how quick and simple it may seem. The one thing though is that the Kirby had great suction. Sadly, the wife hated it, and my sole defense of the great vacuum wasnt enough to save it from the Goodwill pile. So, we got the Shark Duo, which I also love has great cleaning power great on hardwood, tile, and carpet. When we moved into our new home which is 100% hardwood throughout my wife thought the shark wasnt getting the fine particles. We got new rollers for it and I thought it worked great. But sadly she wanted something that really could get between the grooves. So, she bought this Eureka Whirlwind which I thought was a waste and wouldnt be that great. Especially for the price she paid. After the first few days, I was amazed. This really has very strong suction and has a hard bristle which is very effective in getting things that are harder to vacuum up but without scratching the wood floor. I had some drywall work and typically none of the vacuums have really handled the drywall dust all that well. This little thing did a great job. My only complaint is that the filter seems a little flimsy, but it says its washable. Which we tested and it held up under the sink getting washed out. If youre vacuuming really fine particles, youll need to clean the filter more often as that will affect how strong a suction youll get. After a while it started making a slight whrip sound at start up, but I think it was due to the dry wall dust. After cleaning it really good it quit making that whrip sound at start up. The auto cord rewind is a great feature, and the big rear wheel really does make it easy to maneuver. Stair vacuuming is a cinch with this little thing. I do wish the hose was just a little bit longer, may be another 5 feet or so. I cant say enough great things about this vacuum for hardwood floors. Very impressed. I hope this helps anyone thinking about this little vacuum.
