Cant hear it at all. Works great and installation was very easy.

now i normally dont bother saying the device sucked because it was broken on receiving it but IF i wasnt a gamer id have never known. the unit when you went into a game required more power to load the game and when it tried to bring up said power. poof. system shuts down. took me awhile to figure this out. i had to go back to my TEN YEAR OLD power supply and now my new rig works perfectly. corsair was a nice buy 10 years ago. wish this power supply was still available for purchase id just have gone with the corsair unit.

Installed in an older case. Had to cut the mounting plate to accommodate the ECO switch.

Setup and running for a few days so far. Everything is as expected except for the Failure Detection plug which allow the power supply to be used without a motherboard. Im using this as a external power supply and this plug is part of what sold me on this specific model. The Failure Detection plug shown on the third picture down on the bottom left is not what ships with the power supply. The included plug must connect to the MB cable not the actual power supply which I would have preferred. So now I have a bulky MB cable hanging off the power supply that I dont need. The plug does the job just not as cleanly as I hoped. Im gonna call EVGA and see if they send me the right plug without the whole RMA process. If they do then I will give this a 5 star otherwise its gonna stay at 4.

Not even a day after installation the fan started making a bearing noise. Returned.
