As a PC enthusiast and builder, I understand the importance of a reliable and efficient power supply unit (PSU) in a high-performance system. After a lifetime with my ThermalTake Toughpower 750w semi, I finally made the decision to swap out the last part remaining in my new build all in the name of better wire management and go fully modular. The TT was great but the wires were not braided. That supply had been through 3 builds, all small form factor, and the tight squeezes ripped the wiring. I was able to safely repair it but boy would it have been a dream to have the g5 years back. Now I have a much larger case but wires were still not as flexible as Id like them to be. I figured I could drop 100watts and still be fine, grabbed this after getting a refurbished g3 that was DOA and I cant find anything to complain about with the g5. Noise level is about equal to the TT, noticeable but very quiet. Nothing Im very concerned with. The blue/green fan cover is beautiful, its a MUST HAVE for anyone who has a case that will show it off. Mine unfortunately does not. The green light in the back is equally as stunning. Unfortunately that too will likely never be seen with my current build. And also comes with velcro ties which was a huge help in cable mgmt. Im not sure what else to say, have been running this about a week and no issues. Will update if things go south but for the moment very happy!

Great so far

While the PSU is pretty good the instructions provided are mixing something super important. This PSU will not work at all of you use your old motherboard cable. If you replace some cables and not all of them you’ll fry some components. Most important lesson is to always use extensions on a build. Otherwise you’ll have to reword everything when upgrading or replacing a PSU.

I spent a few hours researching the perfect power supply. Enough wattage to support my PC, good protection to prevent damages, and high quality parts. Simply put, EVGA SUPERNOVA G6 series are Seasonic OEM. Seasonic is the leading PSU OEM. Its good IF you use it properly.

This PSU is a great value, was going to go with one from seasonic with a decent efficiency rating when I came across this one.

Works great, dont even know its there. Just works, no issues. Eco mode is also great but Im not brave enough to use it. I just dont like the idea of the fan not turning.

plug n play just don’t use old cables from your last power supply and fry your ssd like I did.

Does what a power supply is suppose to do lol. pretty easy setup. Cables are nicely braided. Good to go with this one. Works with 3070 gpus.
