EWCS 4 Gauge Premium Extra Flexible Welding Cable 600 Volt - Red - 20 Feet - Made in the USA

Hello: So, Ive used EWCS wire numerous times. This wire today immediately looked too small to be 4 AWG. So I took it out of its pack and compared it tom some other 4 gauge wire I have. You tell me. Looks like 6 gauge. I measured with a ruler, since I dont have my calibers. measures ~3/16, at best, but closer to 2/16, or about 5mm. The printing on the wire is not what I usually see on EWCS wire and there is no indication on the jacket of the AWG. Contacted Amazon about discrepancies, and this wire is going back. See the pics for yourself. And, I recently ordered 0 gauge EWCS wire, and it is 0 gauge, so Im disappointed that I have to deal with this.

Very good quality cable. Not sure about the other people but mine would not fit into 4g connectors unless I stripped the outer rubber layer. The copper appears to be true 4g.

I’m not sure if they think in stupid or if they just don’t know what they are talking about. This is not 4 awg it’s 6. That’s a huge difference and if I didn’t know better it’s quite possible I could have gotten hurt. It’s printed right on the side that it’s #4 and that’s not the same as 4awg apparently. You told me it was 4 awg and it’s 6, ever hear of fulse advertising? This is not acceptable.

Plenty long enough for my Silverado Extended cab to run to the back wall. About three feet extra. Wire jacket is nice and scrape resistant and cable feels high quality.

Dose the job for my car stereo.

Definitely not 4awg like the description states and looks to be 6awg.

This wire is so perfect, looks, feels, and flexes so nicely. Its got the thickness, and it just feels really sturdy and tough while maintaining its flexibility.
