I used this lid on my Aqueon 40. Gal breeder tank for my Syrian hamster and it definitely keeps her inside. Beware you might have to buy clips or something to hold it down. It is a little larger than the tank so it wont be a very snug fit either. The mesh isnt super sturdy either so be aware of putting any weight on it.

Fits our 40 gallon breeder tank well. The corners are not joined which allows for cord placement. Very happy with the purchase.

You need clips to lock it down and any curious medium size reptile will be able to push up the sides easy enough. But it fits a 10 gallon tank perfectly and for the price, it’s very nice.
