Exo Terra Terrarium Decor Primate Skull

I like it, however, my gecko does not. So Ill have to give it to a friend or something. Its looks very cool!

I bought this for a 42g Crested Gecko - to use as a hide. This showed up literally 30 minutes ago and it looks awesome - it’s the perfect overall size however; as few others have mentioned there are some very sharp edges. Especially on the inside of the resin which has a lip that hangs over practically every curve. They show a snake and a bearded dragon on the box cover; though I doubt anything larger than a 30g “baby” bearded dragon could fit through the back hole. I also thought that the crack on the back of the skull would be larger. Of course the sharp angles and the cracked look of the skull gives a cool effect but it is very dangerous and I’m also not sure it’s big enough for a variety of species of lizards. A part of me wanted to just simply return it because I know it’s going to take a fair amount of work before I can put it in my lil buddy’s home and feel comfortable enough that she won’t hurt herself. I actually don’t know if my 42g crested gecko could fit through the whole as it is… So I’m going to be taking quite a bit of time to use a Dremel and open up the back a bit and make sure that every single sharp angle and sharp lip are smooth before I put it in the terrarium. If there were no sharp edges I would have given this five stars but it’s getting a very generous 3 stars. I am including photos that I have not otherwise seen that will hopefully help other potential buyers.

Perfect size for my corn snake, Hades. He is just coming up on a year old and its looking like he wont fit much longer. Definitely a fantastic buy though! Its his hide-away straight after feeding, he loves it!

As everyone else has mentioned, I felt there were some sharp edges that needed filing down. Once I did that I put it in my snakes terrarium and it looks great, and he seems to enjoy it!
