Greater than one weekThis is a really cool....what is it? its a backpack, a carry on, and an overnight bag all in one! first, the packaging...it was very tightly vacuum packed into a small plastic bag which fit in a large amazon plastic envelope, so small that I didnt think it was this order! Ok, so whats inside? First, its very durable, and quality construction. the arms for the backpack have their own little zippered pocket so you can stow them and they are no longer part of the bag. but if you want to throw this on your back to free up your hands for other luggage, doors, cell phone, whatever, then you pop the straps out and put this over your back. Comfort? no problem, the straps are thickly padded, and the back of the bag is padded at the shoulders and waist so that every part of the backpack that touches your body is padded. pockets? so many I lost count. however, this bag also functions as luggage, so it has: an expandable zipper to make the bag deeper; a waterproof pocket in the front for toiletries; one of those tie down clips for your clothes just like big luggage has. It also comes with 3 matching zippered square bags (one is waterproof) to put your toiletries, shirts, and pants, respectively, keeping packing and itemizing as efficient and wrinkle free as possible. oh, did I mention a shoe pocket on the front near the bottom? that way you can take some comfy shoes with you for the flight. I havent taken it on a flight yet, but plan to in January. Ill see then if it fits in the carry on template as advertised. Either way its a heckuva bag, good for overnight trips, keep in your trunk with spare clothes, general travel, college students, etc. Im very impressed with the construction, quality, and design. Wish it came in leather, though...

> 3 dayI love travel backpacks. I have used them for over 35 years and they are the most comfortable way to carry luggage in my opinion. Its great to be able to walk through airports on into hotels with your hands free! At $45, I was pleasantly surprised by how well-made and attractive this travel-oriented backpack is. Pros: Really nicely made, and a rich grey-blue color. Lots of well-designed, useful extra pockets on the outside of the bag. (photo #6 shows one of these.) Backpack shoulder straps are comfortably placed, well-padded, and adjust nicely. I like the added sternum clip to really secure the pack for longer hauls. The 3 included travel cubes are a great extra feature that help keep contents organized in the large main compartment. Versatile design: I like that the backpack straps can be tucked away so it becomes a regular suitcase. Cons (these are relatively minor issues compared to the pros): No extra inside compartments on the loarge inside flap (photo #3). The buckles on the outside to cinch the bag tighter once fully zipped are annoyingly in the way as you try to zip or unzip the main compartment (photo #7). Im not sure the buckles add much and they seem to be in the way. The largest travel cube is almost too big--taking up the entire length and width of the suitcase (photo #4), but only half the depth. I guess the idea is to fill that, then stack the 2 smaller cubes on top (photo #5). Biggest bag seems too large to be totally useful, since it ends up taking a bunch of room just from the bags material. Overall, a really nice, professional-looking and stylish carry-on travel backpack that I would recommend to anyone who likes this style of luggage.

> 3 dayI packed this bag for my wife as if we were going away for a week. Its a decent size carry on with lots of inside capacity, it also has lots of pockets on the front and even a hidden one on the lower back. It included three sorting bags. The biggest one fit five pairs of shoes, the middle one was able to fit all her underwear, bras and socks and the smallest one for toiletries. Thanks to its size capacity I was able to pack in its main space 5 pants, 8 - 10 shirts, 2 belts, a flat iron and still had a bit of side room for small things. I like that it has a extending zipper and buckels on each side to help keep things secure and tight. Its has handheld handles on the top and side should it need to be carried by hand. It also has hidden back packs straps for an easy carry. They have a chest strap to help level the weight and pads of the back for comfort. Overall, it weighted almost 18 pounds comfortably packed.

Greater than one weekPros • Material, color, and construction quality • Storage space and carrying options • 3 packing cubes included Cons • None Verdict (5+stars) There are lots of storage options for this travel bag/backpack. Storage • The Front has 2 pockets for quick access, the top has storage for accessories, pens, phone, charger etc., with 2 smaller zipper pockets. The bottom is just a plain storage pocket • The back (when in backpack mode) has 2 zipper pockets. The top runs three quarters length of the bag (also it stores the attached backpack straps, a cool design). The bottom is a small plain storage pocket • Main bag storage is accessed by unzipping the 2 outside zippers that cover three quarters of the bad. Inside has enough room to pack a light weekend’s worth of clothing. The added benefit is the snap straps for securing clothing or to keep the included packing cubes in place • The outside has 2 additional zippers that when unzipped allow for more storage in the main internal storage compartment Carrying • A handle for traditional bag carrying • Backpack straps for backpack mode This is a soft travel bag/ backpack and when used as a backpack the two mesh areas are padded for comfort while wearing. There is a strap above the bottom pocket that you can slide items into to secure them between the backpack and your body. Each side also has 2 adjustable snap closures to help with securing and keeping the shape which is dependent on the amount of items stored inside. I like the blue fabric color and it is durable to handle scuffs, scrapes, and storage. A great all-around bag for using as a travel carry on, backpack, weekend, or gym bag. Bonus Items- are the 3 included packing cubes. These are great for organizing clothes, toiletry items, etc. They come in 3 sizes small, medium, and large.

> 3 dayI travel a lot. Id just had a typical large Jansport-style bag stolen in Milan, so was very excited to see other bags available for free through Amazon Vine in return for a fair and honest review. Especially large ones, as I often will live out of my backpack on trips, taking lots of tech (laptops, camera, chargers) plus some clothes and whatnot. Ive used it on a few trips now...... and to be honest, Im not as excited about this as most people. Its still a decent bag, just not sure its quite what Id want as a travel bag. A lot of qualms with it. It feels smaller. The main issue is its basically one space. The side pockets are very thin, so dont hold much. And the main space, after expanding it with the zipper, isnt very flexible beyond its base shape. if you pack it decently full in the main compartment, you cant put much of anything in the side pockets. So to me, for all intents and purposes, its just one space. Likewise I tried out the packing cubes. After all, I travel with clothes... so you want somewhere to put dirty clothes... and it would be helpful to have a separate space for clean clothes too. But these arent cubes, but thin bags. The largest is 2 inches wide. Literally, like I measured. Theyre mesh on one side rather than enclosed, so they wont do much for storing dirty clothes. Looks like I could put my laptop in there... but again, its not truly separate, so theres not all that much point. No strap or such to these smaller bags so that I could take it out quick to head out from my hotel or such. And not matching the length/width of the bag, they steal quite a bit of extra space in the main(/only) compartment when using them (the medium bag is quite square... the large and small are much more non-square rectangular, but they still take up a lot when you start stuffing them with things. The large would fit fine with the laptop... but again, not truly separate anyways. A small part of the reason there isnt a ton of space is the compartment the backpack straps are in. Whether theyre in them or not, the compartment still takes up space. It just seems more like a gimmick (likewise the packing cubes) rather than anything hugely useful. Likewise, I quite often do like to travel thin. So having a carry on sized backpack sounds useful. But then I remember that the cheapest airlines, Spirit and Frontier in the US (theres similar in the UK) allow only a personal item, like a backpack. So youll have to pay for a carry on like this. Which, considering these seems to hold barely what my regular backpack did (all that stuff mentioned above)... and quite a bit less than my carry on (more pairs of clothes, including dirty clothes in a separate enclosed zipped pocket inside)... and doesnt have the large secondary pockets of a decent normal backpack, nor the ability to open it up fully like a normal carry on bag... or the wheels both often have... it just doesnt feel nearly useful/flexible for my travel needs, whether driving long distance, taking a bus, or flying, or just going for a few days at family or friends in-state. It hasnt worked well so far, and after a few trips, Im convinced its more than just getting used to the changes. And the final knock was, while it felt decently made... with very minimal flexibility in the bag shape (once the expansion zipper is unzipped) (you put a video camera in the backpacks side pocket, the pocket bulges out easy enough... on this one theres very little give to do that... you really can only put small things in those side pockets)... and when it does inevitably strain in shape... while Im hopeful the material will hold up a while (not entirely certain on that either)... the zippers seem to strain a great deal. Theyre well made, but the strain doesnt make me think theyll hold up that long. (What else did I like? The straps were a welcome soft/cushioned feel compared to my old backpack. And the belt straps are nice to further secure your stuff. The color is definitely nice. But thats about it) $46 (the price it was listed at when I got it) is alright. But given that it doesnt wind up having nearly as much space as it promises in the end, at least for me, often a heavy-packed traveler (or else someone living thin out of a bag)... I wouldnt be interested in purchasing the bag in the future. Ill probably use it on occasion, but Ill be looking for a better bag, perhaps a typical backpack with 2 main pockets, a decent side pocket, and a small doc side pocket. Or something else innovative. I had hoped this would be it. But it just didnt do it for me. Hope you can find what you need, but this wasnt it for me. Its between 3 and 4 stars for me, but Im going 3 because I really tried to like this, but have significant concerns with its utility and even durability when used for heavy traveling.

> 3 dayFirst of all, my photos are not true-to-life--the color is a much richer denim blue. Second, theres no way to appreciate all the layers of pockets and pouches this thing has without handling it yourself. Once youve loaded it up, strap it to your back or slide it onto the handle of your wheeled luggage. You wont go wrong. Everything I see says its well-built of quality materials and should hold up for some time to come. One of the most multi-faceted pieces Ive seen!

> 3 dayThe blue one is nice, my favorite color. I love all the compartments to keep me organized. It’s big enough and room to expand if needed. Seems durable. I’m ready for a trip now!

> 3 dayThis a terrific expandable large backpack for the overnight or weekend traveler, can roll or place various dress clothes into compartments or use it without those zippered pouches. Backpack has apparent sturdy zippers and plastic buckles and is attractive navy blue color. This is a versatile backpack, can fold straps inside and utilize it’s top built-in handle as “portrait-type” case. I’m a monthly airline traveler, this is my new go-to backpack, and obviously recommend it to all.
