> 3 dayDifficult to install. I originally had given it a 1 star, but after tricking n soldering wires on n off, n a few more breaking off along the way, I was finally able to make this controller with the help of my bro. After making this wrk, it was a great feeling n accomplishment. Superb controller with great the features. Love this controller now!

> 3 dayThis is a very reasonably priced mod and it works really well. All of the parts are well made and the youtube guide video is clear and well thought out. Extremerate has excellent customer service. I wouldnt not recommend this as your first soldering attempt, but if you have some experience with soldering, its a great kit

Greater than one weekI purchased this after my scuff prestige paddles broke for the 5th time, and I could no longer purchase replacement paddles online. The price seemed like a no brainer as I could do the soldering work, and had old controllers lying around. If you dont know how to solder this isnt for you, but if you do, or are willing to learn, its worth it. As for the installation, it was easy and straight forward. The one complaint I had was that I think there must have been an issue with my test board. When I finished I only had 2 lights come on, however after rechecking multiple times my solder joints were secure, so I said forget it Im testing the controller and put it all together. Low and behold every feature works fine. It was a frustrating point that it had me chasing ghost to try to figure out what the problem was, but the satisfaction of being able to say you did it yourself outweighs any of it. As far as use goes, the controller itself is very slick. It gets slippery when picking up and setting down the controller repeatedly (ie watching YouTube, twitch, etc), however when you are gaming you dont notice any issues. Can always just use a random casual controller when doing casual things. This isnt a big issue however, must nitpicking every possible thing I could think a downside would be. If this was a concern I would say buy the textured one? The buttons feel very clicky and responsive. I love the feel of them. They are much nicer to use then any paddles Ive tested. Ive got pretty big hands, and have no issue with button positioning and being able to use them all without compromise. Another big plus about the feel, which I initially worried might had been a thing, was the fitment. Alot of aftermarket diy kits, as in many fields, have an issue with fitment being seamless. This is just that though. I have no issues with seams or loose pieces. The build quality is top notch as well. All in all a great product that I enjoy using more than my past scuff controller or elites.

> 3 dayNever soldered before so was a little timid at first. Thank god for the test light device in the package because 3 points were connected and I went back and hit them again. After that all the light went on and it worked just fine. Gonna take some getting used to with the buttons but pretty nice quality and looks good for the price. Overall I am happy so far.

> 3 dayTL;DR - Get it if you know how to solder and want back buttons I installed three kits from extremerate, all for the Xbox Series S controller. These kits were the hope remappable buttons, the flexor trigger stops, and the soft touch controller shell. During my time installing it I had two kids running around the kitchen table that didnt seem to understand I had a hot iron and needed a stable enviroment to solder the more than 20 connection points. After sending them with their grandma to go to the beach, I was able to continue and it didnt really get easier. That said I have soldered much worse, namily a trace line on an OG Xbox board, but this was up there as all the points on the board didnt line up perfectly. This could have been mitigated by using some tape, but Im lazy. Thank you to extremerate for including a test board that allowed me to see the missing connection point that I seemed to have overlooked. I would have been pretty annoyed with myself if I got everything together and had to find out by myself if everything worked as intended. Once I got the controller together it worked great. The buttons have a nice tactile feedback that simulate the clicky feel and sound youd get from a mechanical keyboard. Setting the buttons on the back is fairly easier, though not as easy as something like the Elite or 8bitdo controllers. That said this is a mod and not a full controller, so all is forgiven. All in all, its a great product. I would highly recommend it to those with soldering experience who want to add programmable buttons to a stock controller. They arent as quality as something like the Elite controller, but if you have a stock controller that isnt being used go ahead and throw these on it.
